This is what the more ‘enthusiast’ option for everything boils down really: Paying more for the best possible experience.
November 10th made official by the launch video from Xbox! Series S launches 11/10
Aaaah this is exactly what I meant when I kept talking about expecting better visual fidelity on XSX. Medium settings in Forza Horizon 4 for example doesn’t look nearly as great as ultra settings. That’s why I don’t get why some people said I shouldn’t expect any visual fidelity differences between XSS and XSX. ![]()
This reminds me of something Klobrille said a few months ago, he said we are in for a treat with FH4 enhanced for Series X, because he had seen it on PC with everything turned to the max.
Do you guys think Xbox Series S is going to have game in the same setting as Series X except for resolution ?
Honestly might be more accurate to say High vs. Ultra, both should look great.
yeps!
I mentioned this before, but what are the chances we get disk drive add-on for the digital consoles?
nice
It’s basically running a version of Windows 10, enabling 3rd party external drives doesn’t seem outside the realms of possibility.
I feel bad for the marketing team now. Yes I didn’t like how silent they were for the past few weeks but I never wanted things to end up leaking.
November 10th release date confirmed as well through the Xbox UK tweet of the same. https://twitter.com/xboxuk/status/1303381326842732545
Honestly, had MS just decided to quit Xbox One support after all, I don’t think many people would be mad. Not when a actual next gen system is only 299 bucks. But it’s fine with me, these games are built for Series X first as per Aaron Greenberg. I’m sure Avowed and Fable will run fine on XSS, but I shudder to think how Xbox One will cope with that, maybe not so much for One X. Assuming that those games come to Xbox One, that is.
those games aren’t coming to One, don’t worry. These games were only tagged with Windows 10 and Series X at the end of the trailers in the July event unlike some of the other much nearer ones. Halo shall be the only title hamstrung by this decision and it got hit pretty hard from what the demo showed, but I see them dropping support for it eventually just like Destiny did with PS3 and X360. All these major titles like Fable, Avowed, Everwild, Hellblade 2, InXile’s next game, Initiative’s game shall all be Series X/S and PC only.
SIr neither Avowed or Fable are announced for Xbox One S/X.
Edit: someone did the work ![]()
yep, avowed, hellblade 2, fable, forza motosport are not coming to current gen
Ok, I wasn’t sure because right after they were revealed there was some mixed messaging on this. The trailer didn’t mention Xbox One, but then I believe the Twitter of Obsidian did say it was Xbox One or it was another source?
Greenberg did say " all these games are built with Series X in mind, but that doesn’t mean they can’t come to Xbox One." something closely along those lines.
It wasn’t Obsidian. I think.
So lets assume the series s is a hit from the go would that influence the life of the one s?
