We also haven’t seen one side of it (where the stand mounts to it when Horizontal). It could simply mean they are missing some final cosmetic pieces, but if that is the case then they are still a bit behind the Xbox which apparently already is already boxed for retail.
I wouldn’t say they had other issues just yet, no real evidence of that.
Yeah I don’t really trust him either. It’s best to just not expect anything big in September other than finally the price, date and maybe Lockhart. That goes for Sony as well. It’s such a strange way to handle a next gen system launch, but it also is a very strange year.
He misses a lot. Lots of what he said recently didn’t happen. And always late after the fact or saying obvious things. Imho I’m not trusting his infos.
It was already teased by Shinobi to have en event in september but seems all will have a busy month.
Also Marcin Momot from CDPR said this week just got super busy all of a sudden. Maybe we’ll see CP2077 running on XSX. Would be good.
Unlikely. He’s been part of Xbox for ages, hopping to and fro from their internal projects, he wrote the stories for a few X1 games, such as Crackdown 3 and Recore. Likely he’ll go back to that.
He works with 1st party publishing with a mix of writing and project help work. Writing on ReCore, helping on Crackdown 3 with the story and on Tell Me Why. Seems to like the variety so I’m sure he’ll shift to something else the moment his work with Halo is done.
I still believe Staten wants to make the Destiny he wanted at Bungie and Phil told him to wait till 343i has finished the next generation Halo game. Till then he will help with other projects. Now you can kill me for being a heretic
The other thing to consider is that some hardcore gamers have deliberately avoided playing certain titles so that they can play them via next gen BC. It used to be the case back in the day that there were 6-8 month droughts after launch. This Fall I feel like I’ll be swamped in stuff to play.
If he is an associate AD I’m guessing he is contracted out, so MS could always have him work on other games too. I’d almost like to see MS build out a bunch of smaller support-only studios so that they can all grow together and not have to end contracts and restart them, which is messy.
