Xbox Game Studios |OT| Halo...is it me you’re looking for?

what a disaster

We are allowed a liiiittle bit of negativity  As long as it’s reasonable criticism we shouldn’t be afraid of it. Being an Xbox-fan is not always easy, we need to vent, hehe.

However, it’s much more fun to discuss all the positive things I agree.

My stance on that is pretty simple. I don’t pretent to understand how to take long-term decisions, and I am just a guy on a forum like everybody here. Many here are still pretty much seeing Xbox not as an ecosystem, but as just a console and nothing more. Many takes here are pretty much short-sighted decisions that bring nothing to the long term, but are driven by warring.

Nobody here works at MS to know what plans they have in the pipeline and how they intend to bring it out. I don’t know anything about that and I’m just simply enjoying games on Game Pass and not constantly worrying about how a multi-billionnaire company should work to survive. It is just not healthy and brings nothing to the table.

Source, please.

Or rather, we will discuss what is missing, what needs to be IMPROVED, and a lot needs to improve on Xbox without a doubt. and of course PRAISE what needs to be PRAISED.

  1. Go ask the creator of perfect dark He even showed his concepts of 2 perfect dark games that were canceled, also conker 2 were canceled
  2. Rare used to be one of the best single player studio in the industry

Rare Replay, Sea of Thieves and Everwild are games Rare wanted to make.

This is so the user isn’t charged for the next-gen upgrade. MS states it should be free. But it’s twisted so that paying for the next-gen upgrade should be a thing.

Activision is purposely choosing to sell two different sku’s of the Xbox version. When they could just sell the xbox series x version since it already includes the xbox one copy. they want more money for those who dont pay attention. So now the narrative is that xbox wont allow you to pay for an upgrade lol

Really? Because I recall lots of multiplayer in Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Shake Rattle n Roll, Battletoads, R.C Pro Am II, Viva Piñata, Kameo, Killer Instinct, Donkey Kong Country, etc. etc.

I really think you’re ignoring history just because it’s not what YOU want.

I doubt it, Microsoft canceled several of their games, banjo sequel, kameo 2, conker 2, 2 perfect darks, an horror game, a racing game, etc. If they would have creative freedom they would return to that kind of ideas, funny that rare made an online game after kinect exactly in the time Microsoft wanted to make everything online like with fable legends and their always online console.

Most aren’t a few months tho, metro and dmc were over a yr. Only short time ones were rdr2 and gta 5

Your example Of what they “want to make” is from 2 gens ago when most of their current staff (including Craig Duncan) weren’t even there…

All of those games had strong single player experience with also mp. Sea of thieves is not a single player experience, everwild seems like is not going to be either. Battletoads its a really small project. Its not like perfect dark, that had strong sp with mp

The creator of sea of thieves is Gregg Mayles, the creator of banjo. The creator of everwild is Louise O’Connor, she has been in rare since conker bad fur day.

You have really gotta stop, guy. Holy Christ…

Sorry mate. But rare should be what they used to be.

my dude rare wanted to make sea of thieves and everwild. You need to stop making up history to fit your false narrative

Yeah and rare also wanted to make kinect games, there’s nothing wrong to see here right. Come on

THEY. ARE.

Just because you’re scared of multiplayer doesn’t mean they’re not what they used to be. Honestly, you are way off the reservation right now.
