Xbox Game Pass |OT| Our Backlogs Are Doomed

I am hoping that Ubisoft+ classic library will be added to Game Pass. For now for me it looks like a PlayStation exclusive deal. In 2022 we saw Ubisoft putting a lot more games on Game Pass. I am pretty sure Game Pass will get a lot more Ubisoft games this year. Can’t tell ofcourse if this will be next month.

I think Xbox has a different partnership with Ubisoft than PS, not necessarily that it’s an exclusive deal. PS are launching a service and so need a big library from the get go, while for GP it more would prefer to use continuos select additions to pad the monthly AAA variety.

Plus the game catalog for PS is more retro in compare aside from Valhalla. Xbox is getting more recent ones in compare to PS offerings like Origins or Far Cry 5. It’s why I said it’s a bit ironic on what games these two services are getting respectively.

Gave up on Raji, I don’t find it that special. The battles are already starting to annoy me, its getting repetitive. Ah well.

I thought Ubisoft+ got these titels too. I didn’t know Xbox got the titles PlayStation didn’t got. Five New Ubisoft+ Classics Come to PS Plus But There’s More Games To Come - PlayStation LifeStyle

That’s a bit disappointing.

When I tried the Demo at SummerGamesFest a couple years back it only felt middling, so hadn’t bothered to try it when it released. I saw they had the big update and was going to give it a go until I saw it was still leaving the service in 10 days. If they said it would be around for at least another 4 months then I would have given it a go.

I hope it’s soon.

Warhammer 40k: Darktide just announced its delay…Xbox version will be later than pc, which has been delayed to November 30th already…

Sigh. MS need some big surprises for gamepass this autumn. You can’t rely on pentiment or grounded to massively boost subscription or hardware sale numbers. Both High on life and Plague tale look good, but also might not be that definitive.

Not much they can do if the games are delayed :man_shrugging:

Not definitive yet, true. But I have a feeling Plague Tale 2 will make it. Release date announced at E3, same for High on Life. Because of not, sheesh man, less and less will be left from a otherwise nice looking last few months for the service.

Sometimes people seem to think that a big enough check or somehow willing a thing to be so can just brute force things into happening.

Five new games from Annapurna Interactive are coming to Xbox Game Pass.

  • Bounty Star - 2023
  • Flock - TBA
  • Maquette - winter 2022
  • Solar Ash - winter 2022
  • Thirsty Suitors - TBA

Was hoping to see announcement for Neon White

Been playing more Multiversus today…I think I’m done with it. Was fun first few days but Gameplay loop is getting a bit boring and its just way too floaty for me. hopefully when 1.0 launches they have more single player modes like Smash does like target and Home run.

Its a fun game but its not on the level of a smash.

Could be September. First one was in January and 2nd one may. Doesn’t make sense to put it out in October because Persona 5 royal will dominate the Japanese game space for gamepass for the remainder of the year. Get it out in September it should do ok.

I’m not sure if October would matter too much since it’s two separate developers and very different kind of games.

Although it would be nice for my sanity.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we’re getting it in August. Unless they’re dropping the next Zero Escape or one of the other visual novel titles next.

I enjoyed the first two, keep reading that the third is terrible though.

I’ve heard some people say they like it, some hate it.

Then some people get confused between Danganronpa 3 and Danganronpa v3.

I suppose I’ll just find out first hand. Although I’m hoping this time around the first hour or so isn’t as slow as the last two games.

It’s definitely divisive rather than out and out bad - I personally really enjoyed it.

I think it’s the best in the series easily, but that’s just my opinion. Most people seem to like it too from what I’ve seen. Some of the twists just happen to be divisive.
