Just wrote my review, will make the video tomorrow. Maybe I could stream it again, was fun last time.
Does this mean we should expect a review for 2?!?!
WELCOME TO THE FANDOM, JESSE!
I finished it yesterday as well, was a nice ride. Hopefully the next one comes to Game Pass eventually too.
I am surrounded by weebs.
Was gonna say at least I donāt have an anime avatar, then remembered what my avatar was
Help!
Theyāre both on Game Pass! I promise! haha
Speaking ofā¦ Iām pretty much a complete noob when it come to these games. Well, anime etc. in general really. Iā¦ am very sceptic haha. I enjoyed Nier: Automata but Iām not sure if that counts?
But, Iām also curious and open to new things soā¦ Is there anything on Game Pass that could sell me on this?
Yes, Nirvana Initiative is the reason why I checked it out. Weāre on the list for a code so I wanted to get up to date on the series.
I would say if youāre looking to try out a visual novel type of game, AI: The Somnium Files is your best bet. Zero Escape and Danganronpa both start off very slow and (for some) donāt really take off before people drop it.
If youāre looking for something more actiony (like NieR Automata), Iād say Scarlet Nexus is your best bet. The combat does take some getting use to and people are a bit polarized on what to think of the story, but the art style is amazing and some of the relationships are fun to see play out.
Otherwise, there is always the mainline Yakuza games (aside from LAD, which is turn-based). Unfortunately, the first 3 are off the service already, but those are quite fun and have some heavy story moments that make you care about the characters while also driving wacky side quest stories around it all.
Sadly, thereās not much else that comes to Japanese action games on the service (that Iām aware of) aside from One Piece Pirate Warriors 4, which I havenāt played but have heard good things from people that are Dynasty Warriors fans.
I gotta say, I wish AI Somnium had the āPress button to highlight all intractable elementsā button than Danganronpa had.
Its not on Game Pass, but Doki Doki Literature Club is free on Steam. Its a really bubbly feel good entry and really perfect for your first time playing a Visual Nove. I promise!
Aight, good tips. Iāll try to keep an open mind haha.
Yakuza Iāve actually played 0, liked the main story and such but not a huge fan of the weirder side stuff tbh. I have both Kiwami games in the backlogā¦ Does this really count as anime though?
This looks hardcore anime lol.
Lol just looked it up, think that might be too much for someone that isnāt into anime. I watch a fair amount of anime and that looks like too much for me lol
There are anime out there that I bet even @Mort would appreciate. Those that have none of the over the top and quirky stuff.
You two are making Monika sad.
Donāt make Monika sad. Thats not good for the servers.
