Thanks. Somehow I’ve either forgotten or never knew. Nice to see some AC hit the service.
They slipped it in the notes in a May drop as part of their increasing Ubisoft collaboration.
Origins is interesting though, why not Oddysey? That one is much more recent. It doesn’t matter for me personally, I bought both.
It was said as a “begining” of the collaboration. Hopefully that just means we’ll get the Ubisoft+ Classics thing
Probably because of the current gen update it’s slated to get
Looks kinda weak compared to PS+ getting Ubisoft Classic, but I would be surprised if that is all we get.
I am pretty sure we will get Ubisoft+ Classics too. Xbox just waited for Showcase to announce it, while Sony did it without a showcase.
Yeah, that is what I’m thinking too.
Since the latest showcases for Xbox are more and more about Game Pass, Ubisoft + Classics being announced there would make sense.
Probably mean they won’t have a showcase. I still think SoP of GoW is the more likely chance to happen.
True, sadly it won’t be have the same effect if it was announced before Sony’s announcement.
Maybe. Sony has some stuff to show 100%. When they are gonna do that is a different question. FF16, GoW, PSVR, TLOU Factions etc.
Because they stole the thunder. That’s what they do. It’s kind of like how they were hoping to do with Horizon 2 SoP last year to ruin Xbox Showcase since 2020 was vocal to be “mixed bag.” Sadly, they underestimated them and that month was the same month Xbox Series outsold PS.
Yeah. I also remember how they made a Horizon gameplay video on the same day as Halo gameplay trailer. They also announced PS sales just after Microsoft reporting last time etc. Traditional’s Sony’s approach.
Ubisoft classics is all games released so far? But not service that has Ubi games day one on it?
It’s not even released games… But actually some selected released games
So I was looking for either roguelikes or 3D metroidvanias to play on GP recently, I saw people on Reddit suggesting Darksiders 3 as a great 3D metroidvania. I remembered it was on Game Pass so I looked it on the store it turns I have it with Gold, lol.
Anyway, the game is… rough. Looks like it was absolutely made on a budget. Although I do miss the loot based hack n slash Zelda inspired structure we had, I’m loving the metroidvania structure, despite how rough the game is, the world design/structure is solid. Combat is whatever, huge downgrade from DS2. But there’s things I’m appreciating about the game, something that makes it feel like it’s a PS2 game, in all the good and bad ways.
Such a special game. Best in the series.
If only. So far they’ve announced 27 games, and while there are a few gems, on the whole it’s a fairly underwhelming list if you ask me:
That’s courtesy of Game Informer:
That list is weak enough that I do wonder whether it’s representative of Ubisoft+ Classic as a whole, or only what will be included with PlayStation Plus. It’s not inconceivable that PlayStation Plus gets one list, Game Pass another, and the full, independent, paid service directly from Ubisoft gets a more expansive selection.
