Xbox Everywhere | Unpacking Xbox's New Vision

Really well-written article.

“one of the biggest hurdles they face is often misinterpretation by gaming media, pundits and industry analysts. Many still, right now, operate under a traditional ‘console war’ mindset”

Many, if not most, gaming media and ragetubers go out of business without a console war. Which is a huge plus if it goes away.

It was an overall good article.

It pointed out many of the positive aspect of the ecosystem and why many would like to invest in one while also discussing some of the critiques it develop if they do not make necessary adjustments.

I would also add that this is a year in particular Xbox should emphantizes the Xbox hardware user the most, mostly because while they spoke of hardware being central to their operations its imperative to showcase it worth to consumers and users of the ecosystem. With a supposed handheld in the horizon now would be a pretty good time to talk shop about it.

My two cents on this conversation.

To add to this, i just felt that for the begining of the year Xbox put way more focus on playstation and Nintendo, with their ports than talking about improving their own ecosystem. We all know this will not change until after Abril(Its more of a coin toss really), but its gonna be agonizing to see trolls and jerks in the media during this early period.

In another note, this duo is putting the foot forward for the entire ecosystem in the best way they can as of right now is mister Jason Ronald and miss Tina Amini, with the former showing way more reasons to actually own stuff in the ecosystem than Phil did in most interviews(No offense to the folks doing the interviews) and the latter making genuine efforts in some great showcases like Idxbox showcase and Developer Direct.

After biting the bullet and getting a ROG Ally, it made me realise how silly the tribalism has been over exclusivity. With “portable” gaming becoming more and more accessible / affordable, the reality is that many consumers will have access to a plethora of store fronts / choices. I am still mind blown playing AAA games in my hands, then being able to pick up a controller in another room later that night and picking up where I left off on the TV.

Thats the future to me, and Xbox enables that. Very exciting
