I’m guessing because Microsoft will make their own, but have the GPU/CPU or APU ready for other companies to do the same, with whatever configuration they may want to make?

There will be no more bespoke APUs for MS. All RDNA 5 discrete GPUs have Xbox BC and they’re all chiplets. An Xbox SOC is just a combination of a discrete off the shelf Zen 6 chiplet and any RDNA5 GPU chiplet using advanced packaging. Expect a lot more Xbox consoles from more than just MS and more frequently. FYI, Magnus is just the mid tier at2 Xbox GPU / SOC. Comparing PS vs Xbox going forward won’t make sense anymore. It’ll be like comparing PS vs the entire lineup of Nvidia GPUs.
