'Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta)' App for Meta Quest 2, 3, and Pro Headsets Now Available

Meta announced yesterday that the company’s Meta Quest headsets now support Xbox Cloud Gaming via the new ‘Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta)’ that just launched. What better way to play video games than to do so via the comfort of virtual reality. Xbox, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch Pro Controllers are required for play, so keep that mind. PlayStation 5 controllers will be supported in the future.

Per the blog post:

At home or on the go, this is one of the best ways to experience Xbox Game Pass. Skip the install and jump into your favorite games with friends right away. Play virtually anywhere, from your room or wherever you might travel over the holidays. Choose from four different display sizes and either immerse yourself in an Xbox-themed virtual space or enjoy a view of your physical surroundings with Quest 3 or Pro’s stereoscopic full-color Passthrough.

It’s easy to get started. Just follow the tutorial to pair your supported controller with your Quest headset and log in to your Microsoft account. Not yet an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriber? Start your trial membership now.**

Speaking of supported controllers, Xbox controllers, PlayStation 4 controllers, and Nintendo Switch Pro Controllers are all great options, and support for PlayStation 5 controllers is coming in the future.

Tried this last night and it worked better than expected, though I only got a quick go as my daughter wanted to go in her new FNAF load of nonsense.


Awesome, I had a quest 2 for years and just got a quest 3 in October. Going to try this out now
