The employee bonus for not leaking is usually to not get fired.

Not if they can’t trace who did it. This way it’s also a shared incentive. And Microsoft has a pretty generous max bonus, could definitely see tying a percent to this. Our org does our annual incentive by hitting various goals as well, customer satisfaction, etc. Not impossible
I think Microsoft do not leak anything unless they allowed it internally.
I think it’s more that Microsoft Gaming is separate now. No more jelous, dry, boring Windows people leaking shit

I remember Jeff from giantbomb telling a story of people going into the Xbox offices And in a dryboard it just had a bunch on unannounced games on a whiteboard with rough release dates.
This was in plain view in an office with with a giant window you were able to just walk by and read.
But from what understand right now it’s just better control of who has whst information.

Be careful for a lot of misinterpreted jez “leaks”
He was the DD showcase preview show as a guest and he was saying a lot of out there stuff just messing around but people always take that out of context and post it on reddit

If you “leak” enough games, you’re bound to get some right and everyone will see you as a prophet. This isn’t a shot at Jeff as he does know real leaks but just a blanket statement for the majority of others.

Jez and Grubb are the only ones who i trust 100%. They’ll get some stuff wrong sometimes but that’s normal.

Probably a safe route to go, although I gotta say I’d probably lean toward believing Rand, Matty, and Cog (he usually doesn’t leak, but he’s hinted at things beforehand).
