I think it is just the unfortunate timing. All acquisitons were under the star of third party publishing deals that the studios had to complete. Those that did not have it (Playground) was able successfully to release the game (Forza Horizon). Others like Undead Labs or Ninja Theory made huge investments in establishing mocap studios but COVID happened. And it also happened just after third party obligations (The Outer Worlds, Wasteland 3 etc.) was completed.
Now imagine what would happen if Sony got time exclusivity on Starfield

Would be hilarious to see the announcement. A lot of meltdowns are guaranteed. Even more than when it is just a game.

One thing I really like is that xbox is bringing out Kojima with only an announcement . This is exactly what I said xbox should do when Gubb leaked the Kojima deal . No CGI trailer , no engine trailer and no gameplay . Just Kojima and his " hello guys , Im back ! "

One of the Bethesdaās titles could be Tango Gameworks (Hibiki). It has been in development for awhile and is being led by the Evil Within 2 director he even retweeted the showcase.

No Avowed will be disappointing. Also eliminates any chance of it releasing this year which I know some people were hoping for. No EA games would be disappointing because I would think Microsoft would try to get Jedi Survivor marketing and have gameplay reveal for the showcase. Starfield being approximately 20 minutes would be a surprise since itās early 2023. I think 5-6 minutes is enough and Microsoft should copy the Sony/Nintendo style shows where itās just one game. You want your in-depth look, hereās a separate showcase for it. Kojima announcing the partnership but not showing the game would be disappointing but I get why they would do this as I would do the same thing.
Would guess itās Ubisoft. They donāt have a showcase planned and Ubisoft+ is still coming to Xbox as a separate subscription so this makes sense. If itās them, im hoping they also reveal the AC Valhalla and FC 6 Vaas spinoffs that have been heavily rumored for months.
Wonder if we will get any Minecraft info.
