Rebellion grew up since the First titles and you can see more details in sniper elite 5. More details required more investements. They received enough Money from Xbox to launch the game on Gamepass. It’s their best title and also media said this.

I think A Plague Tale is AAA, but it always reminded me of Hellblade 1 in that regard for some reason.

Asobo was a indie developer and the first title reflected this. However the team behind the game were (and are) so talented.

They invested more money on the sequel so the production’s value have changed. I don’t know if it’s a triple AAA but i suppose yes, assuming the ambitions of developers as true.

I don’t think Assassin’s Creed had Playstation marketing rights. I think even Valhalla had Xbox marketing too.

As much as I am one the Banjo train, I am also reminded of the nonsense that was the ever escalating Acquisition speculation prior to the showcase - so I am going to remain VERY skeptical

Ummm games are cool even if they aren’t necessarily giant blockbusters? I don’t understand being annoyed that other people are excited about something you’re not. Like I hate crème brûlée but I don’t question why my girlfriend enjoys it.

Years ago it was similar, the composer had been teasing stuff, I believe some devs were wearing a BK backpack or some shit, all of a sudden all kinds of BK things came out of nowhere. Yet no new game announced at all.
