Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase announced for Sunday June 12 at 10 a.m. PT + Xbox Games Showcase Extended on June 14th at 10am PT (Spoiler Free)

Yea FF7R or big FF games in general would and have done well on xbox with a Day 1 release

Releasing it a year later, probably not so much, 2 years later and it deserves to bomb

Funnily enough if FF16 were to launch day 1 on Xbox, with PS shortage it would encourage a lot of people to buy Series S. Even Sony fans.

I also wonder if that rumor from last year of Bravely Default 2 on Game Pass could finally be announced? Frankly I thought that game was a letdown, I’d rather Triangle Strategy, but I think Nintendo still has an exclusivity period on it.

Well it sure won’t be worse than base UE4 that Ark uses. Of course the Ark devs could still pick up UE5 and NOT mark it to use the new zoning system. So there is that level of potential mess up.

Letdown? Why exactly? I thought it did quite well on Switch and Windows.

But we could potentially have the Bravely Default series on Xbox finally, which in turn could gain a new audience.

Although i would not say no to a Triangle Strategy being on Gamepass. I am recently planning to return to finishing up Octopath Traveller.

Also, would it be interesting to see if Sakura Wars, from Sega, was somehow ported to Xbox(As well as added to Game Pass) and gain a slew of new fans, similar to how Yakuza was when it arrived.

I think they mean didn’t live up to their expectations, of what they wanted fr bravely default

I would love to see Sakura wars or some more odd older japanese titles hit gamepass day 1 Oden sphere , 13 sentiinals etc

Generic JRPG with very bad antagonist.

I’m going to will this into existence.

Yes that’s what I meant. Didn’t like it nearly as much as the Bravely Default games on 3DS. It was a step back in many ways, felt lower budget than the 3DS entries, felt unfinished in some areas. Not sure what happened with it.

And yes I would love to see Sakura Wars on Xbox, but I believe the game flopped so I don’t think Sega will bother, they didn’t even bring it to PC.

They did however just bring Project Diva/Hatsune Miku to PC, and that’s very much a Sega game I want to see on Game Pass. I was disappointed an Xbox version wasn’t released along the PC version.

Hell no to Square Enix. Since they sold off Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal to Embracer Group, I have minimal use for them. Just Cause 5 which they announced yesterday as being in development and whatever game People Can Fly is working on for them is all I currently care about from Square Enix.

Would LOVE Capcom!!! They have been a top 5 publisher for me since 2017 with RE VII. I really wish Konami would resurrect themselves like Capcom has done the last half decade. Both of these two publishers were my favorites in the SNES/PS eras.

On topic -

Would love to see Dragon’s Dogma 2 but also that Final Fight Remake game which was in the Capcom leak two years ago. My all time favorite beat em up in RE Engine and current generation only, oh my!!!

Let’s put this to the test -

If Square Enix were to release Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade for Xbox Series and is $70 but tells you that it’s never going on Game Pass because they want to see how many Xbox fans buy the damn thing, who here would actually buy it day one???

The difference is that Konami disbanded their internal development teams unlike Capcom.

Yeah, I know. That’s why I said “resurrect” them. lol

$70 for an old Final Fantasy 7 port would be a huge mistake. I own it 2 times over on PlayStation already because I paid for the game then it was also later given away for free on PlayStation plus. I suppose my Xbox price point to buy it again is about $15-20. $70 is insane.

Seems like the Kojima game is being revealed at the Keighly’s

Multiplatform I guess.

If its a day 1 game like FF7R2 or FF16 then millions just as previous examples that have shown this. That may differ with games that have already been out for a while like integrade.

SE did this with the KH collection for Xbox and Switch. Around 60€ for 1.5+2.5 and 70€ for 2.7. Especially amazing on the Switch because their cloud streaming is so bad.
