Apparently we might get something bethesda related thursday? That’s what Grubb is mentioning. Might see a Starfield trailer there with the whole “EXCLUSIVE” before it.

Oh, ok so todays “answer” was crystal clear and there is absolutley nothing to discuss? Is that your take on the situation? Wow.

Why do you say that Xbox was never going to appease me? Lots of assumptions there on your part.

Sony has more xbox exclusives than xbox has and this whole case by case and some games will be exclusive is terrible PR by xbox the hardcore players stuck with them through all the wait for E3 and the games are coming soon to end up with multi plats and PlayStation having more xbox games than xbox this has wound me up more than xbox one reveal

I think @Klobrille is more annoyed by the communication than the actual deal. Which I understand and can agree with.

While this is definitely a good point and true, it also all goes away the minute they announce Starfield is exclusive and coming this fall. It could even be a mere timed exclusive and you’d still get the same effective result that everyone will take it to mean the major games are now Xbox exclusive and only minor stuff is multiplatform. All it takes is Starfield imho and the narrative is set in stone.

I would have liked them to say that all games besides (insert specific examples) are exclusive but there are so many moving parts that it really isn’t feasible.

Yes and I think we hear that around E3 time.

What? This is just false. Did you even read the damn thing?

People really be acting like Xbox just said all games will be multiplatform.

As I stated before I expect Starfield to be a “console launch exclusive” at most, it won’t be a full exclusive. Now that media and Twitter catch that “some” up, I expect a lot of PR for Xbox.

At least people won’t complain about acquisitions because it just means studios got financial stability. Acquisition hype is deflated for sure. At least for me. Phew. Guess, no need to concern myself with Xbox anymore and can return to a healthy life.

Over as far as mindshare goes and guess what, it is the Xbox consoles that are driving gamepass growth, not pc and not streaming (at least for the foreseeable future).

Nobody will care about the «70$ versus gamepass» , Sony will continue to dominate console sales and guess what, Gamepass will not be able to grow without Xbox consoles selling great.

More boxes=more gamepass subs, it is that simple, nevermind that it is a bit insulting to people that pay 500$ for your box to say that you don’t care about them (because you are basically weakening that box).

I honestly expected a “most games moving forwards will be exclusive to the Xbox ecosystem”.

“most” is a lot stronger than “some”.

People act like Bethesda is all xbox has hey xbox game studios

Ok. How does your game pass sub diminish in value if these games do come to PS5? You still get them day 1 on Xbox and likely the better playing versions of them too. All you lose out on is list wars.

That being said, I don’t think you spend $7.5bn USD to put games on the PS5 and NSW. Not if you want to grow game pass subs and make that your future.

If a consoles maker going from less than ten to over 20 studios in a couple of years is considered a “dumpster fire” than nothing this console maker ever does is going to make you happy. Buy the other console sell your xbox for a PS5 and be done with it.

We came into this week expecting clarity on this topic and all we got is more confusion and more people thinking the important franchise remain multiplatform.

If YOU don’t think thats a problem then good for you.

It really baffles me that people cant seem to comprehend that Bethesda had/has a production pipeline that is/was in progress unabated until the acquisition is complete. It was illegal for the two companies to engage in any sort of planning regarding their in production/upcoming titles.

That pipeline will be cleared and they will transition to a first full first party organization (MMO style MP titles aside) as the next few years progress. This shit doesn’t happen in a vacuum and they aren’t just going to throw away the work that was being done prior to the completion of the deal.

“Some” means that of the upcoming slate, the ones that can easily be transitioned into exclusives will be.
