Xbox has announced its latest accessibility initiative with the Xbox Adaptive Joystick, in another win for accessibility rights.

With an MSRP of just $29.99 the Xbox Adaptive Controller is meant to be used in conjunction with a standard controller for those who have issues that preclude them from using dual analog sticks. Microsoft describes the product with the following:

I wonder if that thing would just make gaming easier/more fun. I like the design of it I may get it for the heck of it. Price is right.

As silly as this sounds, I’m actually looking at figuring out how play games while walking on the treadmill. Over the winter I’ve been watching YouTube content while walking. I’m sort of getting tired of that and I’d love to play games like Slay the Spire or Balatro while walking.

It just doesn’t feel right with the controller while walking because it sort of scrunches up my shoulders and have my arms out in front of me. I’m thinking this could work for me. I don’t know if I can get a pair of them and then have one on each hand. I’ll have to wait for a few reviews to drop to see what they’re capable of.
