I do not know why there was any doubt that Microsoft and Kojima were in discussions. Grubb has shown he gets scoops and he was always insistent that this was a deal in the works.

Any chainsaw to Kojima’s collectible work?

Huge waste of money for me

He’s right. Kojima has to remember Metal Gear started on MSX2. A platform co develope by Microsoft. So by fanboy logic he’s home I guess. :doge:

I’m now Interested to find out whether KojiPro will collaborate with another XGS on this, and what engine will he choose for his game  UE5?!

Guerilla Games handed him the code for Decima before they even signed the deal…if thats what KP is used to.

Would be wild if they use Decima engine for Xbox lol

Sorry, but these types of people…

Pathetic.

I told him to say some nice things instead, because of his username, lol.

Don’t think they could without falling afoul of their pledge at the start of only showing games formally releasing within 1 month period. Besides, they gotta hold that for TGA’s to announce Silent Hills episode 1 Overdose. :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah, this game is absolutely being saved for TGA and it is the right call.

If he’s using the cloud he’ll be trying things that cant be done with regular hardware

Id be shocked if this was a small project

People being worried because it is a Cloud project truly hurt my brain, seeing John Linneman participate in it makes it even worse. Especially since with Flight Sim we have an incredible showcase of what the Cloud can do for a game. I’m very excited for the possibilities of this game and I think Kojima is exactly the kind of creative who can make good and unique use of the Cloud. Some people are just stuck in the old ways I guess.

Oh I already knew the ā€œPHYSICAL MEDIA, PRESERVATION, NO ONLINE GAMESā€ crowd was gonna be jumping on this. Screw innovation with new technology I guess, everything has to be the way it’s always been.

Oh, not surprising. It is ironic when DF is opposing the innovation.

I’m always on board for whatever Kojima does. Even if it’s not a great experience, it’s usually an interesting one and that’s what I really want out of games.

I understand some people being leery of the cloud aspect, but this is the dude who wanted to coat the Snatcher disc in a chemical that released the smell of blood when heated so it would line up with the character finding a brutal murder (or something like that). If he’s interested in a type of technology, it’s probably to do something interesting with it.

Looking forward to this, when it eventually comes out!
