but in this scenario he might be right tho especially anime stuff but i do agree last time people said Acti aint happeing due to all the issues they were dealing with now here we are same people say Ubi aint happening because employee count
Umm I mentioned kadokawa because it’s literally written in the consideration list which came down to 8 or 9 studios. Am I wrong?
I’m pretty sure MS knows what’s good for them and what they can / can’t do, if they are considering it it means they did the math already. Plus the next big game that will come out of fromsoft will sell like hot cakes so why not have that under your belt.

In the same way that Microsoft would only buy part of sega. It’s the same for kadokawa. Microsoft could attempt to just buy from software.
It just said FromSoft not Kadokawa. Anyway if I was reading those documents right then FromSoft was in a “Consideration List” and then was filtered out in the “Final List”

from soft is doing so good being multiplat making them exclusive well wont bode well with community
I’d really prefer not to hear about one acquisition being challenged for 16 months, so I hope they buy individual studios for a while and let congress and the supreme court sort out the FTC.

No one complained about Bloodborne.
I’d pick up the smaller studios over the next 6 - 12 months then IF still wanted go for a final publisher. IOI, CR & Asobo seem logical but I think they will target genres they don’t have but also ones that are profitable (as in genres).

Yeah I think we will see quite a few smaller studios before another publisher (Sega) are attempted to be acquired.

XBOX only needs 2 acquisitions in Japan (SEGA and Level-5) they are both in the list of potential acquisitions. Do not sleep on Level-5
If you buy Japanese Studios to have a Japanese soul in your portfolio, there is no better than SEGA / Level-5 and Tango Gameworks

IMO Cygames is a better acquisition than Level-5 because of the mobile market. So many gacha games.
yeah that time fromsoft wasnt as big as they r now tho sekiro,elden ring changed the whole scenario for fromsoft whether u like it or not they r doing good and they have no reason to sell to anyone regarding bloodborne its sony IP cant do much about it
level 5 dont even release their games on pc or xbox they had pretty bad fallout from xbox during older gen dont know if they r even willing to get acquired especially xbox
Ninokuni have arrived on Game Pass and Phil Spencer has played Nino Kuni and seems to have liked it a lot
We could also talk about Final Fantasy. Only a minor part of the Xbox community care about it being exclusively not on Xbox.
Sony invested in FromSoft I think last year and I wouldn’t be surprised if one game is exclusive and everybody is gonna praise Sony.
According to TA he played 10 hours and doesn’t even get the ship. Sharing a screenshot on Twitter doesn’t mean he liked it a lot.
well if they r funding the game so idk what the point arguing here fromsoft games wont be exclusive even from knows that after the sales of elden ring
Kadokawa owns the rights to Mushoku Tensei and there is potential for a good game to be made out of it. I’m not sure who would be the best one to make it though.
