It’s amazing how people inject their own feelings into their analysis and end up saying things that are factually false.
Star Wars may be as horrible as Facebook always was, yet it’s the most consumed franchise and social media site there is over the past decade. There is no accounting for tastes or sensibilities in this world.

I KNOW you didn’t just compare a children’s space wizard film series to a company actively undermining US elections and spreading fake vaccine bullshit, enabling platform for white supremacists and owning a social media service actively damaging children’s self image and knew about it and covered it up.

Mandalorian was good because 1) if wasn’t called Star Wars, 2) was standalone and as detached from the similar main plot points as possible, 3) it was simple and focused

Is that the sort of stuff on Facebook now and what they’re doing? I wouldn’t know. It always seemed horrible to me long ago. I was going to reference AOL or MySpace but I don’t think anyone would know of them. 
That statement there is pretty revealing, it explains some other posts as well.
