Epic already got em (publishing)
I am not if it would be anything huge at all.
The games that they made in japan studio where amazing
Ico and shadow of the colossus are two of the most legendary titles ever created, but also I have the fear that they could make another the last guardian which wasnt that good
For me they should go for bokeh studio, it will be good to have the creators of silent hill and gravity rush, imagine what they could do with tango
Definitely multiple ways to do it. I’m hesitant on Ubisoft due to the amount of staff and potential for more difficulty acquiring due to the European regulators or I do feel they’d be a good target.
personally think Microsoft is definitely going to at least look at them, I feel like someone else will ultimately get them though. That being said, I do think they are at this point the 2nd most likely pick up just behind Square Enix in terms of publishers
Just with the operations, goals, marketing, future plans, IP and back catalog, I think Sega is still the most likely publisher. Not saying that’s my pick, just that they are very very aligned business wise.
They could potentially buy out the contract (not that they have previously), either way I think that would be a good investment.
Even if I disagree with wahderful with which publisher is better between square and sega
We shouldnt feel confident about who will be the next one, after bethesda we all(or atleast most people) though that sega will be the next buy, now after activision is happening again and who knows if they will end getting another one
I want to see sega more than any other company, but I have already accepted that it could end being any other like take 2, ubisoft or square, even if I am not a big fan of those
Well…lets wait and see what they do in that market then.
Yeah this is fair, we 100% should put all our eggs in 1 basket, I think SEGA is possible but I just don’t see what makes them the most likely personally. I am not even against them acquiring SEGA but I just think there are better moves…also what will happen to mario vs sonic at the olympic games
they could buy someone
They still make those games sometimes, london was the best of them, meanwhile the winter games are basically dead at this point
I wonder what else can this team make beyond olympic games if they had the opportunity with xbox
Thats one of the reasons I prefer sega because aswell capcom they have a ton of variety meanwhile square dont, I hoped that balan where going to change that but we know how it ended
I agree with Bokeh Studio. The amount of talent in that studio would be perfect for Xbox and imagine the creators of Silent Hill and Resident Evil working together. Personally would go with Bokeh now similar to how Sony went for Haven
If they go after a new studio I’d hope that Humanoid Studio gets a look. They’d be my #1 new studio.
If people want more 3rd person oriented games, go with Asobo, Crystal Dynamics, IOI, and PCF. Boom 3rd person games for days.
If they get PCF however I don’t want them making anything other than Bulletstorm 2 though
As much as I would love PCF (Bulletstorm was amazing) are they really considered a studio known for third person games?
I think when it comes to Xbox users (like me) asking for third person games they are asking for those blockbuster style narrative driven games e.g. Uncharted and Last of Us. I think CD, Eidos and Asobo could deliver them but not necessarily PCF.
Dontnod could also potentially deliver this style of game with more funding IMO.
Remedy would be awesome too.
That’s what they make 3rd person shooters
I suppose Gears and Outriders is 3P, when I think of PCF I generally think of Bulletstorm and Painkiller though which is FPS.
Like I added further down in my reply, when people ask Xbox for third person games I don’t think they are simply asking for the perspective but the Sony Style Blockbusters.
Asobo can deliver that (Plague Tale is amazing), CD can of course deliver that with Tomb Raider and Eidos with Guardians of the Galaxy.
Remedy can also deliver that with Control etc.
Crytek also showed promise with Ryse Son of Rome.
I am one of those people asking for 3rd person, I like the 1st person that Xbox has as well but they have plenty, and yes I want both 3rd person shooter’s and the narrative games it’s clearly one of the many things missing from the portfolio although I think there are things coming down the line from first party. I agree completely with those studios mentioned they are all great choices, as far as dominant 3rd person publisher’s for me it would be WB and Ubisoft
