The position of the FTC and Biden’s stance on mega-mergers is not swaying just as Microsoft announced ABK, this has been a campaign promise and it’s only been recently that the FTC chair was even approved. The timing has nothing to do with Microsoft.

Yes, although judging by the above I guess you must have thought that I thought different (which I don’t) from the way I said it. Apologies for any miscommunication/loose words. “Right now” in M&A terms doesn’t mean right this minute to me, especially given how long a deal of this size would normally take from first negotiation to closing. This is an era where things will get looked at with more will to impede large-scale M&A than would have been possible say a couple of years ago, so it’s a shame the deal wasn’t already done. That’s all I meant. 
This is for potential insider trading and has nothing to do with the reviewing of the Microsoft Acquisition.

If this leads to MS buying CyberConnect2, I’m all for it and it is cool to Finally see NISAmerica bring games to Xbox. Hopefully more games will follow or even MS buy NIS.

Capcom is easily the best realistic pick up in my opinion in terms of IPs but after mauling it over I think Square is the more likely pick up due to their current position

Uhmmmm are we sure those senators statements couldnt have an impact in the FTCs opinion? Maybe the senators could make their focus change to that of the well being of the workers instead of antitrust or monopoly (since I’m surprised those werent the talk points
