You need to be Baptized in the Capcom ways
Hehe I can do a lot worse than that
Either way, publishers won’t be relevant for acquisition until ABK closes. Independent studies are on the menu though and 8 do think they’ll close one or two.
Platinum Games makes perfect sense for this and it looks like they’re begging for Xbox to buy them. Please pull the trigger on it. It’s s great continuation of their build out in Japan.
Now this I can agree with haha
I agree about Sega. That would be massive and they have great IP’s they’re sitting on. And let’s not forget Sonic. Wow what a great aquisitiom if they’re pursuing them.
In 2020 there was a big capcom document leak. Numerous outlets could corroborate the accuracy of many parts of it, including the existence of Dragon’s Dogma 2 at some point in time.
It’s not clear if the project is on track, delayed, or cancelled, but at least as of 2019/2020, Dragon’s Dogma 2 was under development at Capcom.
Yeah Sega would be a solud get - not even just Sonic you get a strong foothold into JRPGS with Atlus and Creative Assembly would be great addition for PC gamepass.
Welcome to the forum and the Sega club
Welcome to this site and yes, Sega would be a great pick up.
Welcome dude. And yeah Sega would be great.
I keep saying after ABK. MS will have the most popular RTS IP in the industry with StarCraft and WarCraft. And Sega Europe is hands down (other than Paradox) the best RTS developers in the business.
Oh I’ll be super honest I joined like 3 weeks ago on a different account I just wanted to change my username so I made a new one. But no one welcomed me then so I guess this still counts, thanks!
You’re killing me smalls, let me know which consoles you’ve got and what you like to play and I’ll make some recommendations.
Well that’s sad, and I’m sorry that us mods missed it, so please accept this as an apology:
I mean, you’ve already mentioned SEGA, so by default I already like you.
Just so you know we have our “Buy SEGA” meetings Wednesday nights at 6, then immediately after a couple of us head out and scream to the heavens for Scalebound for approximately 3 hours, then end the night crying for ATLUS ports.
Thanks! I look forward to using the words “sega”, “platinum” and “phil spencer” more times than I have in my entire life over the coming months
Wait, I thought it was 7…. Is that why I’ve been by myself every time?
Sounds fun, I’ll bring cocktails. I just came up with one called “they didn’t seperate their gaming half for nothing” and it’s basicallly blue gatorade, alcohol and a lot of hope.
Capcom from what we know doesn’t inherently want to be bought. Not that Microsoft couldn’t offer a deal they couldn’t refuse. But Sega is openly making moves to make the gaming division easy to be acquired. I don’t see them being independent long-term.
Well there’s a reason I said “iiiiif” I’ve been pretty consistent on that point.
"Asked if Platinum was already in conversations with Microsoft over Scalebound, Kamiya replied: “I can’t confirm or deny anything, but we could be talking to Microsoft. But we could also be talking to Nintendo, Sony, Capcom, Konami or anybody!” "
To me this sounds like they are signaling everyone that they are for sale and they will take highest bid. We saw this like when Activion went to facebook to see their interest.
Also I think its a nice coincidence that Jez said that Phil Spencer was currently on a trip to Japan. (Can’t confirm if he said this, just repeating what other people have said.)
