Xbox Acquisition |OT5| Talking Exclusively About Xbox Acquisitions

if this does not work, we got our Ace plan banning Prog for a week

But what happens if I put my own spin on it and say “Xbox has no Japanese games” instead ?

speaking of Rockstar, one of key people who left the company Dan Houser and Leslie Benzies founded new studios.

i think MS should knock on their doors, also that everywhere game fit Satya metaverse vision.

T2 won’t sell anytime soon and GTA VI marketing would be for PS5

Xbox next acquisition will be for casuals and have a nice mobile presence.

Who fits this role most out of who’s left? EA imo.

You will have to honestly offer an extremely good price to tempt the board, as T2 has ambitious growth plans as evidence by them buying Zynga and the number of games they have in development. Plus they know that the stock price will shoot up once GTA 6 is released because it will probably be the biggest launch in history.

is this accurate ? like Sega only cost 4.5B

also shouldn’t MS have more cash than 40B

That table is right and wrong. I don’t think Ubisoft or CD project red would ever sell at a premium so low. Most of the acquisition we have had at minimum 50% premium so I would image Ubisoft to be more on the range of 12 billion rather than 9 billion.

Also, yeah cash on hand is not accurate, at least on Microsoft and Sony side. Maybe they are counting the acquisition cost early?

It also doesn’t take into account that TakeTwo are currently in the middle of acquiring Zynga.

They are more likely to be high 30’s, to low 40’s now.

Both of these companies wouldn’t be cheap to go after, but if MS was to buy MiHoYo or Cygames, you’d then for sure have Genshin Impact or Granblue Fantasy coming to the Xbox consoles and to smart phones in the West too.

Yep, a lot of the companies on the table have such low premium. For example, Sega should at least be a bethesda level deal rather than a bungie type of deal.

I hope this far cry will be listened like the others were, it seems almost the last point to fix. Even Rand on Xbox Two was surprise by Kamiya comment, but he’s still not fully convinced that Xbox comments about Japan are much more than lip service (and he is among biggest Phil stans). Action is needed for this subject.

Same. I think expecting MS to make any big moves in Japan are reaching

My God, we literally got proven wrong in every way imaginable about what moves we thought MS would make, every damn rule and condition y’all thought MS operated on got disproven. Literally nothing is off the table and can be called “reaching” anymore. Japan will come, it will take time. If these moves in the West were only made in the last two years, it’s easy to understand it’d take longer for Japan.

This!

Nobody could have expected ABK, even Nick posted a few weeks before saying it wasn’t possible and was proved wrong.

They literally got the biggest publisher outside of Sony, Nintendo and Tencent and we know they have tried to go after Nintendo before, which is by far the biggest Japanese publisher.

After that literally anything is possible.

This is just another reason why MS buying Sega would be a smart move. A cheap price for a Lot of quality.

I was trying to say the contrary, aka maybe they’ll move big also in Japan, considering most of the other criticism were fixed: internal studios with 2018-19 acquisitions, hardcore series with Zenimax, casuals and mobile with ABK. I mean, Japan/Asia is literally the last hole to plug.

If Microsoft really cares about Japanese games, no one is stopping them from working with Japanese developers.
