But how can we be sure? Does anyone really understand what Phil means, when he says that they are looking for studios?
I mean, Phil did say they weren’t just passing out business cards in Japan.
He didn’t say anything about fishing!
You guys have a problem.
This sounds like a weird episode of Dora the Explorer brought to you by Manscaped or Raid: Shadow Legends.
See the post above for confirmation.
Please phil and gang court with all your being square enix, bring them home please lol
That must be a great job.

Imagine Xbox being “The home of JRPG”
What if Phil is looking for a studio to record his mixtape? I’m sure that would be fire
We should totally sign up and use “Forum Speculation” as job experience!
Yes, we would be very good at this!
we have another thing going gamers, imaginative, and determination wont take no for an answer
I’ll throw my hat in the ring.
I’ve said it before and it bears repeating here…I think if any company were to buy Ubisoft, it’d be Amazon. In one move, they’d instantly become a huge competitor in the gaming space. I’m not convinced Amazon has finished with their attempts to break into gaming. They could even continue to publish Ubisoft’s games on console and use the acquisition to market Luna/Twitch. They’d get a wealth of IPs and staff that would benefit their entire gaming/entertainment efforts, eg. a Splinter Cell television series on Amazon Prime, a Rayman movie, etc. Any deal that Ubisoft would be considering would have to be made public before it goes through, and Amazon is one of the few companies on Earth that could give Microsoft some competition when it comes to a bidding war. I’m not saying this will happen, or even that I want it to happen, but I just felt it was worth contributing.
Seriously.
This thread is just kinda getting sad now.
Imagine it when it’s 1st half 2022 and there’s no 1st patty games. No acquisition news. No shows. PlayStation having 3 exclusives.
Then my fun truly begins
As for the people calling for acquisitions of the ex-Bioware teams…
XGS Publishing is the way to go as a first-step. These teams have yet to prove themselves and are riding the reputation from games they made a decade+ ago. Start small, build a partnership and go from there.
You see the vision and the fact they advertised LUNA hard at the TGA’s was interesting.
