Why not all of the above with a few new renditions of ip.
We see people complain about how MS doesnt utilize their IP catalog but when someone wants a specific franchise we seem to dogpile on them. Lol.

Id argue middling franchises that have a chance to comeback should be given a chance. But only if the team has ideas and wants to do them.
I would have put a psychonauts sequel in the same vein as banjo or recore in terms of actially getting a good sequel and it turned out great.
So id argue give them a chance if the fanbase is demanding it and a studio wants to do it.
Also we seem to dogpile on other franchises too recore… or dare i say it crack down…

Crackdown yes cause its gotten 3 games and maybe 1 of them was okay. Its a meme of an IP and best left forgotten.
Recore tbh I havent seen anybody dogpile on it here. If anything thats one of the IP’s id give an extra shot.

Yeah my Crackdown love is mostly a meme.
But Recore deserves a second shot because Recore was very much of a victim of it’s era where time and money was a luxury.
Recore definitive edition showed just a glimpse of it’s true potential.

Man I want a Recore that matches the emotial feels of that was hinted at by it’s announce trailer.
The music, the environment, the robot dog sacrifice…
Didn’t help that Recore was literally at the same E3 where Horizon Zero Dawn was coming out, so that was just more of the umfair dogpiling on Recore because both games had Robot Enemies.

Fair. Ive seen more recore hate on other forums.
I while i loved Crackdown 1 and 3 can understand wanting something else… and i understand it being a meme on this form… hence the “dare I say it”
But i will give crackdown 3 a pass since it went through dev hell.
Either way i digress.
My argument is if there are fans and a team wanting to make a game… we should celebrate that fact and be happy for them if their push gets them a game they like and a team gets to work on a franchise they love.
I’m about to acquire this thread with my unbridled rage in a second! Banjo and Gears will have their revenge!

hmmm nah the game was midcore at best also it was not polished. the game needs AAA treatment. i think it’s better to start over rather then make a sequel if they decided to bring IP back
