I doubt it will honestly. Unless not until the new installment drops. We’ll get the old games then.
I am pretty sure Persona is coming. New release will be day 1 on Xbox (probably not day 1 gamepass) and others will be on Game Pass.
I THINK Sony finally bought crunchyroll and now has all major anime websites and kinda awkward that Crunchyroll is doing a deal with game pass

I wonder how this plays out. Does Crunchy Roll start streaming in 540p, or does Funimation start streaming in 1080p/4k?
I had to cancel my subscription because 540p (Funimation) is a joke in 2021.
How high can it go to?

The fun thing is that if MS were into anime, we could at least expect anime sub rolled into Game Pass. While with Sony it won’t happen as they even did not do that with Funimation.

Seems like some stuff on Funimation is HD, but alooooot is 540p. Even the Demon Slayer movie showed 540p when I looked.
540p? what are you watching on? The new xbox funimation app is pretty good. I’ve had zero issues with the new app. It looks fine on my lg oled.
I do wonder though if this consolidation will have any bearing on the apps availability on xbox. I would assume not. But you never know with sony.
Different Sony. Sony is effectively 4 separate companies. In fact in early 2000s I heard that different Sony’s sued each other.
I am more curious if Sony will decide to go after Kadokawa. Also Sega has a set of anime IPs too.
Then we should also include some dealings with Netflix and Netflix has its own anime. Hilarious stuff.
My TV (Android TV) also shows the same. Maybe I need to try the Xbox app?

Is it though? Sony did form alliance with Kadokawa, but they might be interested in purchasing it in the future and it would directly affect Xbox. Also tightening control over anime might affect the games available for Xbox and so on. Everything is interconnected.
Though Sony is SE, SIE, SFH, SSS and they don’t exactly work nicely with each other.
I think the acquisition process was under investigation, so I wonder if Sony had to accept some conditions to be able to finalize the acquisition.
