Did we even have an acquisition since the beginning of OT3?
Id hope the stock offering, if they get any, would be more than enough to keep them there. I’d kill for some MS stock. It grows pretty fast compared to some other tech companies.
If people want to talk about acquisitions even when nothing has happened there is no harm in it. We have this thread for a reason. I don’t understand people being mad at acquistion talk in a thread dedicated to acquisitions.

Especially when, despite my initial reservations, it’s more of a catch-all for acquisitions that impact Xbox and the industry as well at this point.

Well the discourse around speculation and wishlists must be directly tied to Xbox, on that point I won’t relent, so I think it’s still apt to be considered the Xbox Acquisition thread. When someone acquires a studio that may have direct/indirect impacts, like Embracer buying 4A, I think it’s sensible to discuss here and whatnot. Acquisition begging for other publishers however is not.

Particularly when this thread is actually rather unique. I can’t think of another site or platform where there is a dedicated discussion for gaming acquisitions and their impact on the medium.
Sure, discussion of acquisitions does happen elsewhere, but tends to be reactive, short-lived, and mixed in with other general gaming or Xbox discussion. This thread might be one of a kind.

Of course it does. This is a ridiculous take.
I often come to this forum and find other threads have added 100-200 posts in a few hours. The majority of posts are frequently from 3-5 members just bantering back and forth - and there is nothing wrong with that. They are having fun. More power to them.
My issue is when those same posters come to this thread and effectively say, “you guys post too much so we need to shut this thread down.” WTF?
You have your fun and let us have ours in this thread. If you don’t like this thread then stay away. I could not care less what happens in the Pixels and Frames thread so I just don’t go in there. It’s easy.
Edit: And for the record, I am not the one who flagged your post.
