Acquisition Era it is, then!
Yeah, but Ubisoft has fallen into a formula of Assassins Creed like games and yearly Assassins Creeds and all that. And Square making their studios do Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers.
I think that’s why Bethesda was best possible acquisition. They needed the security to keep doing the games they want to make without having to change things up.
Ubisoft and Square had made the change to their identity yeeears ago.
Ubisoft have dedicated so much staff to maintaining their release cadence of their big IPs that switching to a more creative approach would be disastrous in the short term.
SE Europe was better when they were stuck being the Marvel factory for the rest of Square I’m not sure much would change.
Probably interior/night, and Neon Giant too. My hearts holding out for Supergiant though
This is the way.
Also, not that it’s any of my business but @Shpeshal_Nick could you maybe possibly say something about the “Acqusition Season” Spongbob meme you posted a while back?
While you posted it as a joke, I saw several Twitter and Reddit conversations mentioning it yesterday as proof that there are no acquisitions coming because you said it with a meme.
Based on the earlier post from @The_Xboxer, pick the single publisher/developer(s) you personally would be most excited to join Xbox whether it’s due to their talent, ip’s, or what they would do for Xbox:
NOTE: this is not necessarily realistic and should not be taken very seriously.
- Activision-Blizzard
- Bandai Namco
- Embracer
- Paradox
- Sega
- Square-Enix
- Take-Two
- Ubisoft
- Valve
- Warner Bros.
- Other Pub. or Ind. Dev.

Patrice Evra is hilarious.
Twitter: Haven’t heard anything guys. Nobody’s in a position to know.
Podcast: Okay, so here’s what I heard from my sources…
Borderlands IP is pretty huge it sold like over 60 million copies so without that i say take off 1 billion from Take-Two purchase price lol
Look after the success of The Ascent if Microsoft isnt fully funding a AAA version of it and acquiring Neon Giant idk what Ima do.
You want to keep it isometric or go FPS? Those FP screens looked ridiculous lol
They also own the IP. Microsoft is smoking the rocks if they’re not at least inquiring about a purchase. And if they don’t want to be bought at least publish their next game.
Considering we arent supposed to even see fp mode and it had that level of detail is stunning.
How would you feel about square enix?
Nothing
Lmbo, what ya dream one?
At this point I’d take a bunch of white otakus in a basement somewhere who grew up on Tales of and Final Fantasy games if it meant getting good exclusive JRPGS.
