The laws are intended to not allow chinese acquire companies, they can invest and create their own.
About Nagoshi, yes, this is sad, but for what I know it seems that the latest titles from Yakuza he had smaller involvement.
Speculation is that he was demoted earlier this year because Sakura Wars revival flopped hard, seems that the PS4 game may have paid off, but the mobile game apparently cost Sega 30 million dollars somehow and didn’t even get into the top 50 and thus shutdown six months later. Some people also say that Nagoshi insistance to have such japanese oriented games as PS exclusives rather than Switch or multiplatform also have played a role since we all know Playstation is doing bad in Japan (last week sales we got the lowest PS to Xbox sales ratio since 7th gen).

I still have no idea why he decided to make Sakura Wars for PS only. Switch seemed like no-brainer.
He probably have direct line with Sony to get best agreements, VF5 FS for example was also criticized for being PS only in a genre that is starting to grow back and needs crossplay or multiplatform release at least, Guilty Gear Strive for example had most of its sales on PC according to people who researched the number of players.
I should remember that Chinese companies doesn’t seem to be very fondly of Xbox for now, only recently with Bright Memory and Party Animals we are starting to see some movement. Its the Koreans who are more keen to invest on it as we got plenty of MMOs there first, Library of Ruina and CrossfireX.
VF5 FS you mean remaster? I think it is timed exclusive no?
Yes, I think it’s timed exclusives, the whole Sony EVO stuff ya know? But VF5 has been ported to hell to both PS and Xbox, and PC players can play on Yakuza 6/7. Final Showdown is even Backwards Compatible
Yeah, this time exclusivity is kinda weird. Then probably Sony had spare money after it couldn’t get Starfield.

cmon everyone. Xbox is got more coming. I read that sony loosing anothervsony exclusive we getting not sure of title its like ftom 2019 elryion dancing, sorry memory sucks. Also we have 3 japan games coming in store, tales of arise,demon slayer, and melty blood. All 3 i have preordered. This japan is hopeless is nonsense. Back at e3 b4 elden ring bandai namco said before it played, wish i could remember exact wording that they were supporting inclusivty to.all platforms to keep all gamers united in their games. Basically they not into console wars. They got a new ceo in march…as bandai is taing lead many game devs going to follow them. I believe Microsoft figured out the leaks and have plugged them…so do i think september big aquistion annoubced anyone’s guess…we don’t know who.they in serious acquisitin talks with or how long. They announce it when deal reached, till then anyone’s guess.
Just want to point out, complaining about the state of this thread does nothing to improve it lol. It’s actually counterproductive.
