Let’s talk about how Sega is not happening and actually not that great for Xbox while discussing the possibilities of Take-Two.
MS will acquire SEGA before seeing that game on Xbox, lmao.
Sega is worth just for him (and the whole series)
I’ve long-maintained that SE could dispose of its western studios / IP.
I don’t want to say they’ve mis-managed Crystal Dynamics / Eidos Montreal, but I think their performance has been pretty disappointing recently.
With studio values being through the roof lately, a strong case could be made to part ways with that arm of their business an an especially opportune time. Personally, I’d love to see Eidos revisit Deus Ex and to see what Just Cause could be with a really big team/budget. And I really enjoyed Crystal Dynamics’ work on the Tomb Raider games. Not sure I’d reboot that franchise again just now, but I would look forward to their next third-person action game.
They have absolutely mismanaged Eidos and Deus Ex. Crystal Dynamics made an amazing Game in Shadow of Tomb Raider but this the same publisher to call a game a failure if it dont sell unrealistically.
It depends. If Sega is purchased this year, it is a possibility
You still believe we’ll see that game on Xbox anytime soon? I do not, they’ll renew exclusitivy in perpetuity, or SE won’t bother porting it, prepare yourself.
I do think it is coming on Xbox. On PC for sure, on Xbox I think it is about 60-70%
Going off topic
The fact you are not sure about yourself speaks volumes about SE relationship with Xbox, lol.
I’ve said many times the only solution would be acquiring them, but they are not worth their market cap and I doubt MS would shell so much money for them.
I honestly dont see take two, asobo.is most logical but those guys hot selling…paul on destin’s show suggested ms could scoop?up people can fly he was just making an off handed sugtestion. Seriously, xbox could be in far east outsidd japan…watcghed a streammfor legends of sword online mmo with devs and ttheir western publisher celebrating sucess at launch, lo and behold in pops the head of xbox id program conggulating the devs and saying that xbox llooked forqward to working with them and their games for xbox series. Yea more than likely we get their games through id, they are 3so beautiful. So xbox is making inroads for the china market, east asia has lots of devs in that area outside of china. Some of best mmos are made in that market, also they have single player games for their series to. Wish i could copy the stream link it was 5 min video event was this current month.
Actually that is the reason I think why Sony won’t buy Square Enix. They really have no reason to pull stunts like this if they will pull out the game from other platforms in the future due to purchase.
I mean really? FF7 with unknown exclusivity frame, FF16 with 1 year, Forsaken with 2 years.
I’ve said many times the only solution would be acquiring them, but they are not worth their market cap and I doubt MS would shell so much money for them, because then they would have to reorganize from scrath the entire corp.
are you typing on your phone? The first few lines of the paragraph are getting garbled.
But that is not that big money for MS. I mean 7.5 bn was not the issue for stakeholders to ask about it, so with Square Enix with 10 bn with premium it won’t be a big deal either. The inflation is gonna be big (with all that government spending) and companies want to spend money. MS wanted to spend around 50 bn last year. And since Bethesda’s acquisition they already got around 45 bn in cash.
Having the money =/ throwing from the window
Among japanese publishers imo it would be the least strategical acquisition, like Bandai Namco whose catalogue is mostly licensed.
On controller have a lot of difficulty, with copy, youtube with edge is so messd up. I cant login to.patreon now and discord for years…sorrynxbox my only internet connection
MS bought nokia and ran it into the ground. In fact MS acquisitions - like ACG said some time - feels like they are buying “toys” to play around.
And since when Square Enix is not strategical acquisition among japanese publishers?
