If this is really a third person game there is a game called Hellgate:London. It’s a third person Diablo style game by ex-Blizzard Diablo developer.

I’m thinking it’ll look like Baldur’s Gate 3 from camera POV, visually and aesthetically, but mechanically be much less D&D and more Diablo-like realtime action combat.

Haven’t played Diablo, but if you change the perspective how much different is it from any other action/adventure game? It seems like it’d just be an action/adventure game with loot?

yeah my feeling is the game has been green lit, but given how early it is I’d say limit your expectations until a full blown reveal, which is why I didn’t wanna share many details.

and yeah me and Rand should be podcasting tonight unless work kicks me in the face or something.

Any guess if we will see any of the 4 titles you referenced a while back at E3 (XGS publishing deals with 3rd parties)? Seems like we got IO’s game, the typhoon game thing, Kojima’s game + 2 more. Curious if any of those are gonna be seen soon.

I haven’t played it as much either, but I grew up watching my brother, my cousins all play Diablo 2 obsessively (alongside Warcraft 3, damn Blizzard was on fire back then) so that’s why I remember it distinctly. And the new Diablo 2 remake is looking phenomenal so that’s definitely something I’m keeping an eye on as well (have told all these people who used to play it about this as well to get them hyped lol)

Yeah, looking at jumping in myself. 2 remake looks great. VV is a great team.
