This looks like exactly my cup of tea.
Played for 1 hour so far, and I think I’ll be putting in a lot more time. It also runs really well on PC.
I’m enjoying it so far. Love the artstyle and music - it reminds me a lot of Dungeons of Hinterberg.
Have lots of fun with game. The devs know their bike culture stuff. Dialog is way funnier than i expected. The world has the right size, good variety, lots of things to explore and find.
But performance could be better on Series X.
I’m almost done with it.
the good
- great cycling vibes
- art and sound are spot on
- is open world but doesnt overstay its welcome (can be finished in 5-10 hours)
- handling feels good
- lots of stuff to explore and find for customization of your bike
the bad
- performance
- i didn’t like the second area as much as the first area
- collectible achievements are buggy
- physics impact from customization of you bike should be more pronounced
the ugly
- random traffic can end your race especially in the city areas
I read that there’s a bug with finishing achievements in the endgame (collectible progress isn’t saved) so I’m going to slow roll the game for now until there’s a fix.
For me the biggest culprit is that there is no tracking for stuff like the lone wolves for example so how are you supposed to track what you have left without that? I did around 500 achievement points and stopped there. At least I did all races objectives.
its not only the missing tracking stuff. some of these collectibles are absolutely excessive. i think there are over 70 lone wolves to beat lol. and the 3 worst collectibles have like 1 or 2 unlocks on trueachievements so there are also buggy on top of it all.
At first I thought I’d go through with it because the game is lods of fun and has a great atmosphere, but I’ve got so much to play and I now realize it was a good idea to skip the extra stuff considering it’s buggy like you said.
Once fixed though and with a few quality of life upgrades, this would be a very good experience as it was a surprise hit for me.
I was going to say that this seems like a game that could get a huge QOL update after 3 months or something - but then I realized that’s pretty much every game now.
