What's the point of Xbox?

They make games I like.

In future, more people can give them money to play games, so they’re happy about that

People who pretend to not like ANYTHING MS release cos it’s not Sony or whatever can play them happily and tell themselves ‘they won’, by… paying MS for their games…

People who have no interest aren’t forced to, and it’s easier to catch the curious

I can play games across platforms on one device already. This pushes it further. Shock horror big news, PC has been a thing for a while now.

Games are great. Gaming is fucking weird, man.

For me Game Pass is the perfect way to try out games to see if I like them, or will bounce off them or struggle with difficulty / accessibility.

Plus it has so many of the great first party games, and with Play Anywhere I’m able to play across both my PC and console.

It’s just so much more user friendly than PlayStation (Quick Resume, free cloud saves, Play Anywhere and auto choosing the right version) - and despite the odd PlayStation exclusive I loved (Detroit, Spider Man, Rapture and Beyond Two Souls - can get most on PC now anyway) it’s not worth the huge expense compared to gaming on Xbox, particularly given my love of RPGs and Forza…
