I am just before the final boss of Crash 4 and what a pleasant surprise that game was. I liked the first three games quite a bit but I was never a huge fan and I think that Crash 4 is one of the best platformers out there, amazing work from Toys For Bob. It’s pretty crazy that they released such a good platformer on their first take on the Crash IP…game has a lot of meaningful content, it’s pretty challenging and level design is so full of new ideas all the time both design wise and visual wise. So much fun.
I also started replaying Wolfenstein: The Old Blood on my One X at Uber difficulty and this time I liked it even more than my first playthrough on my PS4…superb pacing, a lot of variety on enemy encounters and great shooting mechanics. I love the way the lean mechanic spices things up in battles, I wish more FPS games had a similar mechanic. Hopefully Machine Games will go back to the style of the first 3 games for the a future Wolfenstein game, I didn’t like at all the way Youngblood went with the co-op focus and the superfluous “RPG” elements.
I will continue with Crash 4 till the 20th when the Slayer arrives, then everything will be put on ice for The Ancient Gods.
Yesterday I started with The Last of Us Remastered. This is my second try to complete the game. Last time I think I played until chapter 6 and than paused the game. Maybe I get to finish this game this time.
Besides that I’m playing FIFA 21 right now, mainly Ultimate Team.
I have finished it and plan to play it again in hard & also find all secret keys and alternate story paths. The last fight was awesome with the ost and story. Really liked the story.
Looking to get some nice indie games to play during the last months of this year. Not a big fan of blockbuster games such as Assassin’s Creed or Cyberpunk.
It really is a great game, best indie game I played this year along with Valfaris. Also IIRC the developer is planning to release a free chapter till the end of the year to close the story.
Yep I saw that. I’m impatiently waiting for it. Did you find all the keys? The story was really surprinsingly great and mature like Metal Gear Solid 1 level style scenario.
I advise you to play The Messenger really I think you will love it. The gameplay is tight and there is a great story full of surprises
Just started Afterparty to get that done before it leaves Game Pass. First impression is mixed, doesn’t seem to reach Oxenfree qualities tbh and I’m allready annoyed by the main characters so that doesn’t bode well hehe.
I haven’t finish it yet, I haven’t found any keys…wtf? Story is really interesting so far! I will definitely replay the game to find all collectibles and play on Hard mode though!
Valfaris is an action/platformer with a unique visual style and badass metal music. It’s by the same team that made Slain but Valfaris is vastly superior in every way. Game has excellent pacing, really cool bosses and is a great challenge. Check it out.
The Ancient Gods on Nightmare is freakin’ crazy…holy shit! Also how amazing does this game look at the One X? what a beast of an engine.
Well, now that the Xbox Series X has arrived, I decided to test out many games on it. I tried out Forza Horizon 4, the 60 FPS definitely makes a big difference, it feels amazing. Also tried out some backwards compatible games such as Sonic Generations. Playing in 4K without any frame drops is great. I also gave Tetris Effect: Connected a try.
I am planning on starting Yakuza: Like a Dragon tomorrow, and then finishing off the year with Gears: Tactics.
