World of Warcraft although more so for trolling LFG Chat Wow is really the reason I have a mid tier gaming PC even though the current expansion isn’t great
I try to get in at least a few games of Apex/Rocket League per week.
I’m a bit ADHD when it comes to my gaming time these days; I’m juggling Yakuza 0 (almost half-way through), MCC, Red Dead Online, Prey, and Sea of Thieves with my wife.
Purchased Far Cry 3:Classic a week or so ago when it was $3 and I’ve been playing a lot of it recently. Only played a few hours when it came out back in the day and haven’t played another Far Cry game since. I’m actually enjoying it, even though the game does feel pretty dated (npcs spamming the same lines of dialog over and over).
Finished both Batman: The Tell-tale games, Halo 4 on heroic (long time since I played it, better than I remember) Ghost recon breakpoint and wildlands, Dante’s Inferno, Spec Ops - The line ( a must play for everyone, in my opinion) and am now spending time between PSO2, Saint’s Row 3 remastered and occasional jumps into Apex.
Remnant: From the Ashes Subject 2923 expansion. Played about four hours earlier and if you like the base game of Remnant, you should like the expansion. Plus, it was only $10 which was half the price I was expecting it to be.
Scrappers - an Apple Arcade game, beat ‘em up like Battletoads with an emphasis on collecting trash during levels.
Beyond a Steel Sky - another Apple Arcade game, the sequel to Beneath a Steel Sky which over never played.
MO: Astray - a side scrolling puzzle platform game on PC. It has a neat movement mechanic that takes some getting used to but works. Gorgeous art.
I’m also trying to decide if I want to start Disco Elysium or RE:Make before Ghost of Tsushima comes in from the library. I’ll probably hold off, Hypnospace Outlaw is out on GamePass next week and that’ll tide me over…trying to work through the backlog is tough with subscription services!
Working through Creature in the Well before it leaves Gamepass and will go back to A Plague Tale once I’m done with that. Rocket Arena or Zombie Army 4, depending on who’s online, when I’m doing something non-single-player.
I’m mainly juggling Rocket Arena (PC), the new TrackMania (PC) and Hyper Scape (Xbox). Trying to keep up with the on-going contents, passes, etc. of each. On top of that, some stuff I’m reviewing here and there and the occasional Game Pass game. Gave Flight Sim a shot - I can see myself visiting iconic locations, but as a game I can’t say I’m interested in it.
That game is basically digital crack, haha. So good and addictive. What’s lovely about it is that it’s insanely fun on the first matches where you barely even hit the ball at 10kph and hundreds of hours later when you bounce off walls and fly around for crazy passes and goals. It’s a bit like the real football (soccer) where no matter what level you’re on it just works.
AC Unity - I’m about half way through and enjoying it very much.
Battletoads is now my smaller indie title when I’m looking for something more straight forward.
The Saboteur on Xbox 360, so much fun. Taking my time with it.
I’ve been going through the AC series. It’s been a long time since I’ve played any of these games so over the last few months I’ve been slowly working back through them. I don’t know why but I get a weird satisfaction grinding through these games. I’ve heard the more recent ones (particularly Odyssey) have way too many objectives so we’ll see if that breaks me. The older ones so far aren’t too bad in that regard.
Completed:
AC (original)
AC II
AC Brotherhood
AC Revelations
Currently working through AC III. I know a lot of people hate Conner but when I played it back at release I really enjoyed the game. I like the revolutionary setting which you don’t see too often in games. To this point though Brotherhood is probably my favorite. AC II gets a lot of love but I feel like they expanded on a lot of the systems in the follow-up which makes it a more enjoyable experience imo.
Outside of that I’m also playing Yakuza Kiwami 2. I loved 0 & Kiwami when they released on Gamepass so glad this one finally showed up. I’m torn on whether to wait and see if they release the later ones on Xbox or I could load them up on my PS4…
I’m planning to visit a friend this weekend so want to give Battletoads a run through. We played SoR4 back when it released on Gamepass.
So far, I am really enjoying co-op in Battletoads. The turbo bike level was a little hard to follow with 2 people though . Also, to continue my retro shooter splurge, I bought Duke Nukem 3D for 2 bucks (gotta love the Summer Sale). It is actually really good. There was one part that I thought was hilarious & a little too much. I won’t say what happened, but it involved a dead alien and a newspaper.
