Metal Hellsinger here. Trying to find a high quality download for it so I don’t have to leave the in-game player going.

Also, some Eluviete, Nightwish, Beyond the Black, Within Tempation, Trees of Eternity, Swallow the Sun, Avatar (Sweden), Ghost, Soilwork, Kamelot and more…

Michael Kiwanuka’s songwriting is perfection and this is one of his best tracks if you haven’t heard it.

Also, since it’s somehow the 30th anniversary of one of the best grunge/rock albums of all time, Alice in Chain’s ‘Dirt’, here’s two of my favorite tracks (they’re all killer though):

Also, they just published a remastered version and it’s available in lossless on most streaming platform if that’s your gig. Still sounds excellent.

Lossless streaming? Please tell me more! I still buy flac (and HD Audio when I can) because I felt streaming sounded … not great. And in the case of Siriusxm, very “telephone” like if I could even get stable service in a woodsy area like mine.

Aye! Apple Music, Tidal, Amazon Music Unlimited, and Qobuz (one of my faves) all offer Lossless music for some/all of their selection. Some require additional fees I believe but I use mainly Apple Music and Qobuz and it’s included in their base price I believe (I didn’t have to pick any tier to access).

Just remember that even DLAC and Aptx lossless aren’t going to give the full 24bit/192khz bitrate wirelessly, you’ll need wired headphones/speakers and a DAC to do so. I typically use my B&W PX7s wired with their built-in DAC or run from Mac via optical to my amp/DAC and speakers.

@Knottian

I researched streaming services a few months ago and didn’t find any definitively lossless or HD audio via streaming. During that search I did find Qobuz and have been buying HD music there and via bandcamp when I can. When streaming, I generally use my Onkyo TX RZ50 built in apps. I often stick with Pandora because of my artist channels. And I didn’t find any definitively HD streaming on other services so I never subscribed.

Sounds like I need to rethink that and look again!

Thanks!

So I was listening through a playlist and found this band called Modern Nature. Their music takes indie folk-rock and jazz, mixing it together. Some of their songs has a cloudy, maybe gritty tone that I really like the vibe of. Harvest is a good one of theirs, I only wish the sax solo was a bit longer towards the end.

After listening to enough of the previous playlist I jumped to a different one to find songs or bands that might be similar. One of the songs I found was Robber, by The Weather Station. It’s… Not entirely similar but I still like it anyway lol. From what i’ve seen their music is usually just traditional sounding folk music. But with this album called Ignorance, they added a lot more influences from other genres. Now it’s more like folky art-poprock mixed with jazzy disco and probably some other stuff.

I was just trying to find new dream pop to listen to but I somehow ended up here. It was an adventure lol.

Oops. Wrong thread.

Currently playing Echo Generation (as it is leaving GP on the 15th) and put aside Prodeus for now. So far, both have been very enjoyable.

After playing Echo Generation, I am looking forward to Ravenlok even more as that does not seem to have turn-based combat.

Also just barely dipped my toe in Grounded (about 30-45 minutes) - promising so far.

Currently crunching to meet deadlines at work, listening to a lot of instrumental jams. Regardless of what you think of the game, there’s no denying that Ramin Djawadi’s score for Medal of Honor (2010) is absolute fire.

Being in a stoner/doom/sludge mood for more than a month now and I haven’t posted in a while so I’ll post more songs than usual starting with the OG Lords of Doom.
