Going to see the next week for my first post lockdown gig.
I have been to see Richard Dawson and Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs.
It’s been a Disco House type of night.
Feeling a bit mellow with a side of tired and blue… https://youtu.be/bPAC6zt_1ZM https://youtu.be/OvHcHQ9-jdo
It’s feeling like a Metal Ballad/Emotional Metal kind of night.
I actually plan to have this song played at my funeral.
My inattentive self imagined an undead corpse playing a sick guitar rift at their own funeral lol.
Days when DJ’s actually mixed and didn’t just press play on a cd.
And the crowd were just there for the music and to reach for the lasers
It’s a Chiptune kind of night. I’ve always been in love with the sound chip from the NES, so hearing modern music styled after it makes me irrationally happy.
Tonight feels like a Funk and Soul kind of night.
One of my favs. It’s electronic jazz but they use a synthesizer and it gives their music a more vintage/outer space feel. https://youtu.be/QyiWGwVljFI https://youtu.be/Npt5yuuVBEg
Part of an album that came out this year, they added violins to parts of their songs and it sounds a bit more dramatic, but still has a cool vibe. https://youtu.be/UaReJRhJ7eo
90’s hip hop kinda day https://youtu.be/h4UqMyldS7Q
After a crazy past couple of days (it was Thanksgiving here in the U.S.), I decided I needed to relax and listen to something a little more downbeat, so I’ve been listening to one of my favorite Korean artists RIO. These songs are featured on a Korean Drama called “Nevertheless” and her music really gives the show a dark sexyness you don’t often find in KDramas.
I wouldn’t usually post a video by Kid Rock but in his new single he goes up to space in a rocket shaped like a middle finger
Marillion have released the first single from their upcoming album An Hour Before It’s Dark, due out on March 4th
Finally going through my Video game play list and currently on the VF2 soundtrack. Shun’s stage music is still the greatest:
Sega’s mostly had good solid music in their games. I don’t like the modern Sonic games but they have some good stuff too. In the late 80’s/early 90’s some of their sound team got together and formed a band, playing some of Sega’s music live. It lasted a few years until they got together again about a decade ago.
I know it almost 2 hours long, the whole thing is sweet but if the link doesn’t work I tried to timestamp it to play at 53:01 which is a really smooth performance of a Galaxy Force II song they played.
