Diablo 4 Sales in Japan
So basically, Diablo V should be exclusive in order to increase even more sale for the platform.
Unsure if this is a bad thing, but it seems Street Fighter dropped out of the most played list on xbox. However, Diablo remains strong since it’s in 3rd and only behind MW and Fortnite who just released new seasons
In…?
I don’t see it in the US right now, but MK11 is there at 25 right above Halo.
Tough scene.
Sheesh, how much did SquareEnix charge for their services for Outriders to “not be profitable”? I would not be surprised to find out years from now something questionable went on.
my fault, forgot to mention Canada
I feel bad for them because it seems that Square pocketed all of the gamepass money and left them with crumbs. If i’m a developer I would not want to partner with Square because they seem very shady with their recent moves
Yeah, much better to do what PCF are doing now and partner directly with the serious players, like Xbox.
Thats not really saying Outriders didnt make a profit, isn’t it?
It says People can Fly didnt receive any royalties from game sales. SE could have made a profit from their game pass deal and PcF did receive money from SE earlier for their milestones.
Is that an xbox game in famitsu top 10???
It is. Diablo 4 itself is not sold physically in Japan however, it is counting the bundle sales as game sales.
Still, I don’t think an Xbox game entered the top 10 at all in the Xbox One era, lol.
umm Embracer seems like weird situation except few none of those studios are really good and games they have released are pretty mid it wont be long when they gonna get acquired by someone as they have lot of good ips lets see where they go
If MS could get them on the cheap it’s be a Gamepass powerhouse to be honest. They have a lot of studios that can pump out a lot of content on the quick.
Halo Infinite’s peak player count on steam for each major update.
Mid Season 1 update, February 24th, 2022 - 31,780
Season 2 update, May 3rd, 2022- 21,369
Season 3 update, March 7th, 2023 - 12,705
Season 4 update, June 20th, 2023 - 8329
Honestly, this update hasn’t been marketed well. Like I feel only people that are deep into Halo Infinite know about it, and not many outside of it. Also, I find it weird Microsoft barely advertises it on Xbox and you’ll see them mention Overwatch, COD, and Fortnite latest season, but not infinite.
Yeah, I don’t think the game is going to get the resurgence that people were hoping for. It’s probably going to stay at it’s current player base right now and slowly get smaller as the months/years go on.
Could be a lot worse but certainly a failure overall in terms of what they were trying to achieve with it’s MP. Devs did their best to right the ship and that’s all you can really ask for when you’re put in a bad positiion.
The game hasn’t been marketed well from the very beginning, see what diablo did, sponsored so many streamers, get that visibility for your game as a good competitive game. Overwatch 2 on launch did the same. Xdefiant is doing it too, sponsoring a lot of pro players.
You can’t just expect everyone to play your game because it is Halo. That time has long gone, you have to pay people to play it. Hope they enjoy it and play it again without being sponsored. Bungie will do the same with Marathon.
Streamers did play the game when it launched and they talked shit about it the whole time.
