The XboxEra Community Made a Giant Play Anywhere Guide So You Can Easily See the 1000+ Xbox Games That Support Cross-buy

It can be frustrating but I am just happy to see constant progress being made. Since we went live with this list more than older 50 games have been added to the Xbox app from the MS app. And continued PA support with new releases. I’m just glad it’s on an upward trend and they’re improving with past releases.

But yes, it hopefully gets to a point where this list isn’t needed any more haha.

For the shared save, double purchase games, idk. It would be handy but idk if we’ll have the effort between us like we did for the main PA list. Speaking for myself, I don’t feel like doing that all again right now haha. It was 4 of us, hours each day looking on the Xbox site and TrueAchievements, browsing forums for issues.

Not to say it wouldn’t be worth it, it would be handy, but maybe not feeling it at the moment. It probably wouldn’t be as extensive of an effort off the bat. The few I can think of are Final Fantasy 15, Crash N sane trilogy, Spyro trilogy, lords of the fallen. Maybe Tony Hawk? I can’t remember on that one. So yeah, not ruling it out but not right now at least for me personally

I don’t know how we could verify games if it has cross save functionality through Xbox Live. To verify it someone has to own both copies. I just know games like this exist because I figured it out myself and now know this is the standard for Focus Entertainment games.

Hey sorry for late replies don’t check here much and was on vacation but thanks it was a lot of work for 4 people to do.

I’m not sure I have another list in me, as we are still keeping the current list updated (me and Cryon) are normally checking unlisted store pages as they pop up and scrolling through old store listings for some games to show play anywhere pretty frequently and sometimes a few times a day.

for one of the reasons I personally was advocating for the full play anywhere list is it gets a bit murky with just specific features such as cross buy like you mentioned focus home games, it would start requiring finding folks willing to slap money for tests I think just for play anywhere me and genghis each drop around 20 ish testing some titles we couldn’t find answers for to confirm if say achievements worked or saves.

Its a pretty complicated and messy system at times, it does seem Xbox is taking notice (hoping due to this list but no idea), if you are on discord hope into the play anywhere channel for Xbox era we are pretty frequently discussing titles and flaws we hope are fixed/corrected

Edit: for games with just cross save, from a random shot in the dark I would say it’s around 50-70 titles

And for ones that have cross buy but not save or achievements would guess another 40-50 titles
