You need an updated firmware for your CX to get DolbyVision 4K-120Hz. I donāt think itās released publicly until closer to August. It sounds like you need to go through customer support to get ahold of it. LG had a beta firmware around 9 days ago and then followed it up with yet another firmware release to address some additional issues brought to light by Vincent @ HDTVTest. From a recent YouTube Video description from Vincent:
LG has confirmed that the company is working on a beta firmware update for some 2020 OLED TVs including the CX and GX, which should be available soon (at least one month away) to be requested on demand by calling LGās customer support in your own country.
Nice, thanks! Iāll keep an eye out for a firmware update. Unrelated: did you manage to finish off your Ambassador thing for the season? I know you were close and itās the last day
No. Stopped short by 155 points. Gutted! No new missions in the past 5 days.
On topic: Does anyone know if they have metadata for DolbyVision support? Like not where itās wrapped into DV but actual use inside the game? This might be something to see when it starts showing up. Iād like to see a genuine comparison with it toggled.
Yeah, the same happened with Doom and GreedFall: the games get the stamp before the patch goes live.
If I had to guess, I believe the logo is added as soon as the next-gen patch passes certification. Donāt expect the update for A Plague Tale to drop before July 6 (or maybe 5, depending on timezones).
It supports all games that already support HDR, even the ones with auto hdr (I think only one or two are disabled while in preview, but will be enabled on the final version). Not sure how itās handled but personally only difference I noticed was that the TV seems brighter if I set it to dolby vision. I donāt remember who, but I also saw an comparison where the conclusion was that DV was slightly better in gamma.

Iām not sure I follow. You mean having articles in other languages from time to time? Or having our entire website available in other languages?
While it would be a relief to write in my native language for once (), I personally donāt think thatās viable.
For the first hypothesis, while Brazil and Sweden are constantly in the Top 10 countries that browses our website the most, writing articles in other languages from time to time would end up excluding a big chunk of our users since English is seen as an āuniversal languageā.
For the second one, we are not as big as weād like to afford maintaining a website in other languages
