Crash Bandicoot 4 is getting a Series X|S update. It’s free for those who already own it on Xbox One.

Damn, it still looks bad? I’ve only played the GP version on XSX, which is basically the One X version and I already wasn’t that impressed with the overall visuals. Aliasing, just didn’t seem as crisp as it could be. I wonder why and surprised even the XSX and PS5 versions don’t look significantly better, if I’m reading what you said right.

Besides from graphics I think QB is the overall better game. I haven’t finished Control so I can’t say for certain, but the fact that it didn’t grab me as QB, which I played from start to finish in a week or so, is telling. I really don’t get the hype with Control. But that happens a lot to me lately. People seem to just randomly like something and everyone follows. Quantum Break on the other hand was such a fantastic game but no one seemed to care :man_shrugging:

The hype for Control was real, crazy even. I haven’t finished the game yet, but judging on what I’ve played and seen in video reviews I just don’t get it.

I agree. I played and beat it around release. It was fine, I didn’t get the hype and still don’t. Then again, I tend to find just about all Remedy’s games to be more hype than actual substance. Even Alan Wake, and that I would consider the best thing they’ve done.

Still waiting for some word about a patch for Control Ultimate on Series X it’s crashing all the time, I want to keep playing and get it over with after waiting past the exclusivity crap then the next gen wait. It’s like it doesn’t want me to play it.

I’ve played for around 6-7 hours and the game has crashed on me only once (which is also not ideal, tbh). I’m on an Alpha Skip-Ahead OS build, but I don’t know if that matters.

Also on Alpha-Skip, I didn’t run into any issues until I got to the Ritual Division now its happening far more often and its usually triggered by some kind of background streaming like doors leading to new zones or elevators, but I have run into mid combat crashes when using telekinesis all of this with RT on I don’t want to play it without RT that’s the whole point I waited lol.

Ritual Division is mission 4, right? I stopped playing right after I beat this mission – and it was the only mission that crashed on me (the console’s light even flashed while closing the game). I’m also playing with RT on.

The last time I played was on February 4, though, and I’ve noticed many crash reports in the last few days.

Not sure exactly what mission but yeah it’s also not isolated to that area I had it dashboard in the mail room during a rescue event, crash on fast travel, crash on the elevator to the sewage area (where the clog is the first time) never the same spot twice though.

I found the lore in-game to really be the most compelling part. It’s basically SCP the videogame.

I contacted a guy who works at Microsoft and is directly involved with the Xbox Games Store asking him about why some Gen9Aware games receive the ā€œOptimizedā€ stamp (like We Happy Few) while others don’t (like The Division 2).

He said he would take a look at it, and two days later The Division 2 is now being shown as a proper Series X|S title.

I believe this is the first time we see both Series X|S and One X logos in the same game. Games like Forza Horizon 4 lost the ā€œOne X Enhancedā€ logo after becoming Optimized for the Series X|S.

The Division 2 is still missing a Smart Delivery tag, though.

Ray tracing on Series S? That’d be awesome.
