Iāve never played it myself, but it is supposed to be one of the best games from 10tons. It also sits at the biggest Opencritic score of their games at 73.
And Jesus, there have been so many surprise Series X|S patches that I missed another one:
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is now optimized for the Series X|S. The game now runs in 4K Ultra HD at 60 FPS, and is also available on Game Pass.
I just checked again and it now shows as Optimized! Iām not sure when it changed nor what changed, though.
Edit: Freaking Tannenberg is also showing as Optimized for the Series X|S aswell. But there is no words from the devs about a patch and I donāt know when it dropped Smart Delivery is great for consumers but it is hell to catalogue.
I contacted the Tannenberg developers to ask about what optimizations were made for the Series X|S. This was their response:
The title has been optimized for Series X, but has no next-gen specific upgrades. Specifically, because of the great specs in the new machines, we are able to turn off dynamic resolution scaling when thereās a lot of action on the screen. Basically meaning it not only runs smoother on Xbox Series X (when the framerate cap is disabled, then it goes up to 60), it will look sharper as well since it is consistently running on full resolution.

That has been my biggest problem while tracking down all those optimized games.
It was known that World of Warships was going to be optimized this year, so I āboughtā the game and kept checking my library to see when it would be optimized. Earlier this week I noticed it was and went straight into the gameās website and social networks ā no announcements at all. I looked for the gameās version history and presumed the optimization was made after the latest patch on December 2nd.
Tannenberg also gave me trouble and I had to reach out for the developers to confirm it.
Star Wars: Squadron wasnāt showing optimized after the latest patch, but one day it suddenly was lol
Itās been hard, but Iām having a lot of fun looking for those optimized games. Every day when I want to chill a little I browse through the Microsoft Store looking for new ones
I played some Destiny 2 before, but my goodness this update on Series X with 60 FPS, significantly reduced loading times and ability to set my FOV at 90 is just nuts how awesome it plays now!
Exactly! I couldnāt believe what I was seeing when I fired up the game after the patch. It is one of the best-looking games on the Series X for sure!
