Yeah, kinda a bummer (in the sense that games aren’t going to improve as much as they could, though I think the few stand out quirks will be improved over time by the team), but it speaks volumes about the performance of the console.
It shows SX has indeed the performance for taking pretty much any game of the current gen at 4k60 with power to spare.
A huge engineering flex too, they effectively doubled the gpu performance with “only” a 2x multiplier on the TF, everything else had a smaller increase. And with the architecture improvements this will be well over 2x the performance.
I play it all the time on my Xbox One X and I agree. Wonder if the developers will actually optimize it for next gen. Right now I think it caps at 1440p and frame rate is really bad. Hopefully we can get 4K and closer to 45-60fps. It actually runs really well on my GTX 1080 at 3440x1440 so Series X should be able to perform well with Ark. That games has serious legs, hopefully it gets the support it deserves!
