Starfield was there, it didn’t make it out of the first round lol.
Maybe the outrage crowd should have voted.

They probably did.
I’m looking forward to watching The Game Awards tomorrow not just because Microsoft will be showing and announcing some stuff but also, it seems that a lot of new IP’s are said to be shown during the show so I want to see what they are. Also, rumors of a Borderlands 4/Wonderlands 2 reveal, Metro 4 and many others as well. I’m also looking to see if games like Crimson Desert get a release date or release window. Either way, I watch almost every gaming showcase and The Game Awards is no different. Hyped!!!
No its what trolls want. Its not a 2023 game. Fucking garbage gatcha has poisoned fanboys minds.
But i cant be too mad when Geoff himself tweeted thst Metaphor ReFantazio will be at thr event. FUCKINH HYPE. My most wanted game of 2024
Sometimes I really think these awards are mainly seen by gamers and those on twitter. It just doesn’t seem as big as I hear. Almost everyone I ask in are just not aware of it. This voting makes it seem even more, so which is why I asked about the numbers. The Academy twitter/X page has 3.9 million followers as to the Game Awards 1.1million followers. This awards thing has pretty much become what E3 was.
Anyone believing an anonymous voting system without protections against bots or multiple votes being representative of anything needs to have their heads checked. There’s a reason political analysts don’t put weight behind Twitter polls…
A lot of Xbox-centric guys seem to be hyping up the Game Awards, and doing so in a manner that makes it seem like something truly great will be shown/revealed. I find it hard to take them seriously, but King David seemed incredibly excited and now I find myself curious what it could be.
And that’s my point. PS and Nintendo have a bigger fanbase… so their games especially 1st Party games will win through. That’s why it is pointless asking fans to vote IMO.
My games of the year are Jedi Surrviour, Man Who Forgot His Name and Under The Waves. So what do I know LOL
I don’t understand how Genshin Impact could even be on there.
Because Halo Infinite could have even won if it was nominated and they offered 1000 Spartan-Bucks if it won.
I’ll be watching this tomorrow with a cup of coffee and something to eat with the “luxury” of being able to fast forward through overly long speeches and other nonsense.
The pre show always has soms new announcements too, so be watching that too.
I probably have it on the background playing while I’m playing Firefight.
The show is a perfect time for me this year (1am - 4am), it means when I wake up I can skip through 90% of the show to watch the interesting parts😜.
Same lol, It’s nice waking up to some trailers
Exactly. It’s convenient as hell and so worth it, and so not worth losing a good night’s rest over. Hasn’t been worth it for many years now.
Normally I just wait until I wake up in the morning, but this year coincides with a Spanish public holiday, so I’m staying up for it. Just need to get some snacks and figure out what game I’ll play when they’re doling out the awards. Likely I’ll continue visiting every universe in Starfield or Football Manager.
It’s a fans vote, it’s not meant to have any full integrity just like any other fan vote.
It’s essentially a popularity contest, by that alone an Xbox game isn’t winning anything in that category any time soon lol.
Halo Infinite won in 2021, and Forza Horizon was a finalist.
Fans will vote for their platform’s number 1 big games really and one knew Starfield was going to get a backlash.
I don’t like the Oscars process much because SC-FI and Horror never get a look in but if the Oscar’s left it to fans no doubt Barbie would win best picture.
I don’t think so, I think they will shadow drop 1 and 2 on GP and release date of 3 of course. But…who knows.

Any time soon doesn’t mean never. Also respectfully 2021 just doesn’t really hold a candle to 2023 in regards to big IP’s.
