I had never finished a FromSoft game before Elden Ring. It was truly something special.

I have just got to the point where I think I am over Sony’s formula. I felt like I was just holding forward while characters talked for 60% of GOW:R

From storytelling is underrated as well… it may not have the cinematic feel of God Of War, but it’s second to none in environmental storytelling and discovery.

It’s fine to be disappointed, but doom and gloom isn’t warranted. Not to mention, you shouldn’t put all stock on a show. This feels like Groundhog Day that I can’t help but repeat the same words from same user no less. I think today’s news really put everyone on a boiling point, and this show helped the push.

Quite a few people are in here just to troll, but it is perfectly reasonable to be disappointed that Xbox chose to not show any new 1st party AAA footage.

This. It’s quite annoying to be lumped together with the trolls when simply expressing disapppointment, which a lot of us do.

I just want something exciting game wise to discuss, been too much other crap this year.

Also, the game awards has no credibility seeing how Vampire Survivors wasn’t even nominated for GOTY.

I haven’t played Elden Ring, but VS may be the best game of this generation.

Nah, son! Xbox not showing up to an awards show invalidates everything we know for a fact to be coming iut next year. No way i preorder Starfield now!

He literally heard Xbox wasn’t going to be there and speculated maybe because of ABK which literally makes no sense and is an excuse.

They have first party games eventually, they are just all either having troubled development or taking far longer than expected.

Because they can’t keep momentum. I’ve always been saying that E3 + TGAs being their only major appearances per year isn’t enough and then they also take TGA off this year to really rub it in.

When it’s looking quite likely that the next major appearance after June 2022 is… June 2023… That’s just not gonna do it.

I feel like he had an inside source but didn’t want to totally disappoint people. Just my theory! This is first the first awards show since 2019 MS wasn’t apart of as far as a big announcement

That is really what pulled me in. I loved that it didn’t spoon feed you dialog. It forced you to pay attention to the world around you. I also really like that there are items/weapons that only exist in one place in the world. If you find it you reap the reward.
