Whether you are looking for a custom designed controller for yourself, a loved one, or a special gamer in your life, Xbox Design Lab provides a broad canvas for you to design the perfect controller. Since Xbox Design Lab launched in 2016, the number one fan request has been to include Elite controllers in our unique customization program to empower further personalization of our premium controller. Now you have billions of colorful ways to make the most customizable controller from Xbox unmistakably yours! We’re excited to bring more choices to gamers around the world and can’t wait to see how fans reimagine what it is to be Elite.

Players can choose from a variety of different colors to customize nearly all the external parts of the Elite Series 2 controller including the body, back case, D-pad, bumpers, triggers, thumbsticks, and buttons. You can even choose between a cross-shaped or faceted D-pad and for the first time ever in Xbox Design Lab, color-customize the thumbstick base and ring. Further personalize your design with laser engraving to add your name, Gamertag or custom 16-character message. The best part is that Elite Series 2 controllers are designed to be fully customizable with interchangeable components, so you can play with a specific setup that works best for you. Choose the right components to unleash your best game, such as metallic paddles and different shaped thumbsticks. Add a custom designed carrying case to match your style and keep the controller and components secure and organized. Mix and match colors on different parts until settling on a design that is uniquely yours and have it shipped right to your door.

Once you have your Elite Series 2 controller, head over to the Xbox Accessories App and customize the Xbox button to perfectly pair with your new color scheme. Choose from a wide array of colors that combine red, blue, and green LEDs to produce over 16 million hues of light. While there, you can also set up different button mapping configurations to tailor the controller to your preferred gaming style. Learn more about theĀ Xbox Accessories appĀ to get started.

It’s stupid that you have to choose which dpad style you get in the thumbstick pack.

you get both if you do the full accessories pack. it’s like customizing the core then upgrading to the full

From what I’m seeing both the ā€˜Everything Pack’ and the ā€˜Thumbsticks and D-pad Pack’ make you choose which one you get.

do you get microsoft rewards points for buying?

I’m at 160,000 points atm, and been really lazy doing MS rewards all year, but since this is so big, it might help offset cost slightly lmao

It would make no sense to buy the full pack with your custom order and get the same d-pad you already chose before.

And for those of us that already have the Elite Series 2?

Then you already have one, you’re buying another one. I’m not sure the point. Do you just mean you’d like the option to get both if you’re buying the accessories pack alone?

Yes. If you want to add some color to your existing Elite Series 2 you would be ā€œstuckā€ unable to swap colored dpads without buying the accessory pack twice. I realize it’s a minor issue, but it’s still annoying.

Ah ok, I get it now. There are some really nice ones available on Etsy and mediocre ones on Amazon if you’re looking for color variants. Not OEM of course, but there are some really good rip-offs.

I would love a customized Elite … but I don’t want to shell out $200 for something that could easily break…

Same here. I’d settle for having the standard base colors as available on the Series S controllers, specifically the Shock Blue.

just ordered mine.

I hope the ā€œ3-4 weeks to arrive thingā€ is just an overestimation

I’m tempted to do this but all the quality concerns of elite controllers lately has me worried. How’s warranty work on design lab controllers?

Only had one play around with the colours but thought this looked pretty cool.

If it’s like the regular then one year with Xbox.

Yes, one year. I did have an issue with one of my original Elite controllers that was handled quickly by Xbox service. Maybe I am just fortunate, but my current Halo Infinite Elite Series 2 has been perfect with a ton of use on it over the last year. Fingers crossed I have the same experience on the red and black custom one with engraving that I just ordered
