The teenagers I know all want to play on PC as you say. Even my kids (7 and 10) have Xboxes and Switch and yet, they spend more time on their iPads and PC.
The console demographics is growing older and there is not enough replacement in sight in afraid. The Xbox strategy does make sense from my anecdotal point of view as well.
I can say, without reservation, that this is one of the worst opinion pieces I’ve ever read about video games. I found zero salient points and nothing of value in the entire thing.
Have any idea what it is that makes a PC a PC to them? Is it the game library or streaming stuff or what? I am curious if a console-like PC would actually attract those that want a PC.
I wish these people would talk with Matt Piscatella about how the industry actually works now, and not how they think it does. The opinion piece reads straight out of the early 00’s with how the author looks at success. “Consoles sold is king” type of mentality which doesn’t match reality anymore.
Well of course he will hop in. The problem is, you can have the best game on Stadia when it was still around and it wouldn’t make an extra dime. PS released well known titles like Spider-Man and GoW. Not to mention, why Insomniac is technically breaking games apart? Because they sell. Name sell. With that logic, how is FF7 doing? What are we basing on? Reviews? Doesn’t work. Get off that horse of yours, because it needs to sleep.
Jez just said in The Xbox Two podcast that someone mentioned to him Matt Booty, in the last internal video for workers, mentioned the multiplatform strategy had apparently “stressed” (as in something negative ofc) the brand.
Not going to happen. This is the kind of turd that many knew was coming. This guys have no interest in seeing Xbox excel. That interview with Polygon really has them mad cos Sony just might not make it if Xbox opens the walled garden. They are out for Phil now. Let’s see if the voice of reason will come out to stop them or remain silent as usual.
They are all getting laid off ReedPop been trying to get rid of them nobody is biting . So they are trying to do anything they can to get engagement to show value.
