If Starfield is a go there’s ZERO reason for anything else to not be multiplatform.
At least I understood why Sega did it. They were doing really badly. But Xbox was having all the signs of a massive comeback and then this happened.
IMO this definitely wasn’t a Phil call. Microsoft higher ups are definitely the force behind it, after spending 70 billion on Activision.
Starfield and HFR were both bought right as they were supposed to be out, originally. Them having ports ready that just need updates to the current game makes a lot of sense as to why these ones.
You love making shit up.
Man, I didn’t have Activision killing Xbox on my bingo card. Kinda wish the deal was blocked now lmao
Now that this is out, we can’t say that they didn’t lie lol.
Dark times ahead for gaming. Can’t image how shitty will Sony be now that they will practically have a monopoly in console gaming.
Gunna be a lot of people on Twitter switching sides and smashing their Xbox.
I wont destroy my Xbox that’s just silly but some will.
Personally, if Xbox actually goes ahead with a strategy of porting their games like Starfield, Hi-Fi etc after telling me that buying Betheada was about exclusives then I will leave their ecosystem and move over to another platform.
They can kiss my 60+ game purchases a year, accessory purchases etc goodbye. Ill still buy their games because I love games, I just wont invest in an ecosystem that doesnt believe in itself. Continuing to spend on Xbox would be like lighting that cash on fire because chances are it wouldnt be around very much longer.
I sincerely hope this isnt true or that the execs see the pushback and abort, because this is a move that will kill them as a platform.
All those annoying ponies and just websites in general were right after all then with their speculation last year, regarding Starfield.
What a fucking mess, just…wow. What a clown show, sorry.
truly case by case
Yeah, the only alternative I’d consider is PC if I do move away from Xbox.
Destroying is stupid. I just won’t invest any more money into the console. No point in having a big digital library if you don’t know how much more will the console last.
Probably the right move, Xbox leadership has has no clue about how the console market works since Peter Moore’s departure.
I Will remember first xbox and 360 as two of my favourite consoles
For who? Shareholders?
Xbox bought Activision so it can become Activision with nicer executives I guess
I’m going to stick with my Series X for the time being and then sell it and buy a PS5 Pro whenever it releases. Literally zero reason to own an Xbox if this is the route they’re going to take.
The other day we had rumors that MS was busy making new hardware, we recently had the rumor about the next Xbox.
Why even bother, MS?
Because Game Pass subscribers still need something to play on. I think they are betting on Game Pass being the exclusive.
