I don’t know about biggest leak, but its certainly the biggest impact, it’s one that should adjust everyones perception. No one should have their false perceptions of Sony/PlayStation anymore.
MS seemed pretty bad but the big ones were the 2024 console plans and Zenimax’s roadmap, both of which seem to be outdated to at least some regard
This is way worse in comparison
Sony really wants the best of the best, including leaks.
But seriously, damn…
That termination clause.
6 Million copies sold is a must in the first year.
And The overall deal is upto 2035.
If the documents are true, I get why Jim Ryan was going for more GaaS.
Spiderman 2 budget is crazy high. Especially for 15h game with a recycled map.
Strangely, this makes me appreciate more on Xbox’s side because these developers have to use existing assets to create a game. Like I said last year, many of new titles from Xbox are from ground-up, including Forza with whole new engine and what not. It’s why they had to take much longer while Sony was bringing games with existing assets and animation.
Yeah, I thought that would be sooner… I don’t think PS has a single game that interest me next year. Jfc
Something like Gotham Knights could work (in idea not execution)
Is there any breakdown for what is spent on the game development versus marketing?
Yes.
It is huge for the size of the dump, the way it was obtained, and more importantly the contemporaneous nature of it. The Xbox stuff was old by at least two years. This is dated this summer.
I would like to know that as well since the figure has to include marketing.
Sunset Overdrive made Insomniac only $567 in profit. Yes Im not missing any zeros.
Crazy to think Wolverine is slated for 2026, meaning Showcase 2021 pulled a Xbox 2020.
it basically broke even, but Ratchet and Clank lost money . It makes sense why they’re becoming a Marvel factory. I assume next Ratchet will be another tech showcase to sell the PS6
If you consider Ratchet took 5 years as an unambitious sequel and Spiderman 2 took 5 years, recycling PS4 assets, it was never going to be less than 5 years after Rift Apart.
I’m actually surprised. I mean the many tweets by the stables about how this was 2024 was always nothing but fanboy wishes. But there were reports from decent sources that it was 2025. Or could it perhaps be fiscal year?
yeah
Ratchet could’ve done better if it had been priced properly imo
