In regards to the Ignore User feature, I was thinking it might be useful to have a lesser level to it. My idea is to have an option that doesn’t hide a user’s messages but instead just gives you a reminder not to respond to them. Something like “You have set this user as (do not respond to)” would appear with their messages rather than them being hidden. This way you can still see the flow of the conversation but there is a reminder for yourself to not respond.
I know a lot of people don’t bother with the ignore feature so I think something like this might be a good idea.
Yes, I agree, this could be a nice feature to have, but I’m sure it’s not part of the platform atm. We monitor the development of the Discourse software, so the moment something similar to this is available we will include it.
Thanks. I was thinking it could work like the “This is the first time XYZ is posting” or the “You’ve replied to XYZ a ton of times, talk to someone else” pop ups if not the actual ignore feature.
