Free online multiplayer would have been a massive Mic drop moment if it happened out of nowhere and noone expected it, like Backward Compatibility was in E3 2015 (at least as far as I remember)
Sadly now theres been so much speculation over it and some major media outlets have picked it up so its become more of a if this doesnt happen people will be disapointed, and if it does its like ‘thats cool but we already knew this’
So my next Gen moment has been two things. The switching instantly between several games loaded to the last place you stopped. The other is xcloud, though I understand the new Xbox isn’t needed. I agree though, waiting on next gen visuals.
Its not going anywhere. It nets them like a billion dollars a year.
It’d just get ignored as yet another “CG” trailer. Ppl refuse to accept it is real-time to this day, despite EPIC confirming it. /shrugs
I feel like a lot of people aren’t taking Covid into consideration with these events. Even Sony didn’t show that much. As i understand it’s a bit of work setting up a vertical slice for shows like E3 and Covid hitting the US the way it did obviously had an effect on that.
